Finding lasting peace is possible through understanding and embracing God's indwelling presence in our lives. This divine presence, involving all three persons of the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - makes its home within those who genuinely seek God through faith in Jesus Christ. This isn't a temporary arrangement but a permanent residence that transforms how we view ourselves and live our daily lives.Two key elements are necessary for hosting God's presence: genuine love for God and obedience to His Word. These aren't conditions to earn His presence but ways we prepare our hearts to welcome Him. When we realize we're not just children of God but actual dwelling places for His presence, it changes everything about how we approach life. True peace isn't dependent on external circumstances but flows from our internal communion with God.

In the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, we often focus on finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones. But what does God want for Christmas? The prophet Micah, who lived around 700 years before Christ, provides a timeless answer in Micah 6:6-8. During a time of social injustice and religious corruption, Micah conveyed God's true desires: to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. Justice involves treating others fairly and caring for the less fortunate. Mercy means extending loyal love even to those who may not reciprocate. Humility is about recognizing our smallness in the light of God's greatness. This Christmas, let's give God what He truly desires by embodying these virtues in our daily lives.
