Bucky Dent All Over Again

Our grumpy GOATs open this week's show by riffing on the debate over how many NBA players could make a seamless transition to the NFL (not many), bagging on Austin "Son of Doc" Rivers and getting in a shot on LeBron for posterity. Curry Kirkpatrick criticizes Scottie Scheffler's newborn son for his slow pace of play and trashes Nelly Korda (with tongue still firmly in cheek) for failing to win a sixth consecutive start. Resident Knicks fan Coach Rich Basirico shows his frustration with Thibs' short bench, while Curry shows love for Rick Carlisle and pledges allegiance to the Pacers against the "obnoxious" Nova Knicks. The guys gear up for their first season caring about the WNBA, Curry predicts the Atlanta Hawks will use their NBA Lottery win to draft another quarterback for the Falcons, and Rich predicts prison for Chiefs WR Rashee Rice. Bob Stevens points out the games he has circled on the NFL schedule, Curry reveals he has a crush on the NHL playoffs, and things wind down with an in-depth discussion of basketball coaches' wardrobes, plus a couple more gratuitous digs at LeBron.

Plus, they bag on offensively-challenged basketball teams, as well as LeBron and Bronny James, Curry invokes The Bear and Cocaine Bear, and Rich gets grilled on the experience of coaching his son. We Roast Everybody

Our fussy fellas open by reflecting on the Kentucky Derby and throwing their predictions Under The Bus, along with the broadcast coverage of the race and flopping favorite Fierceness. The grumpy GOATs riff on The Roast of Tom Brady and get in a couple digs of their own, and resident Swiftie Curry Kirkpatrick manages to work Tay-Tay into the conversation. Our impassioned panel can't come to an agreement on whether the New York Knicks' Game 1 win over the Pacers was legitimate, with in-house NYC homer Rich Basirico grinning while Curry and Bob Stevens lambast the officiating down the stretch, but they reach a consensus that the challenge system sucks and agree Donte DiVincenzo should be up for a Tony for his late flop. Your favorite curmudgeonly commentators show love for the Minnesota Timberwolves, shouting out the Stifle Tower and the Ant Man, and wondering whether anyone can stop them. Coach B blasts LeBron's hijacking of the Los Angeles Lakers' coaching situation (and Curry sneaks in a Duke dig, naturally), Curry buzzes about the bees in Arizona, and Rich rants about Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton's plate approach (again). Plenty of umpires and referees end up Under The Bus, including one who tried to retire to Coach B on the spot before a game, but no more than the speedbumps that come from the NBA's "two-minute report" that throws shade on the refs. Come for the sports banter, stay for the Kristi Noem jokes on this week's edition of Under The Bus!
