Quality Over Quantity: The Importance of Sustainable Fashion with Mallory Ottariano

This week we have Mallory Ottariano, founder of Youer, an apparel company Based out of Missoula, Montana. Youer is more than a clothing company though. They are on a mission to change the industry and the way people believe in themselves. The Youer team believes that confident people go out and change the world and it’s their job to provide you with the tools to do so! Mallory shares her journey from architecture and design to starting her own, hand-made apparel company, and traveling all over the country slanging her clothes at events. She always had a passion for fashion and being unique by putting her own spin on trends. We talk about clothing as a form of self-expression and the power it holds in making us feel incredible or terrible about ourselves. We also chat about the need for mindful consumerism and the impact of clothing on the environment. Mallory highlights the challenges and advantages of manufacturing in the US, including the ability to maintain quality control and support local communities. All of Youer’s pieces are printed, cut, and sewn in the U.S.A. and many of their fabrics are made here as well.
