    Motivational Monday - You Do Not Need Motivation 'Just Look In The Mirror'

    In this episode, we’re getting real about where motivation actually comes from. I spent the weekend listening to Jay-Z’s “What More Can I Say?” and it hit me: sometimes I sit in this chair searching for words to motivate y’all, when the truth is you already have everything you need. This Motivation Monday is a little bit of a rant, and a whole lot of love. This isn’t just about getting hyped for the week. It’s about looking in the mirror and knowing that we’re great, blessed, and highly favored without needing anybody else to say it. I’m sharing the 90% Rule: motivate yourself most of the time, and lean on your people for those days when life is being life.     The Corner Connection - The Only Person You Can Lose To Is You 'Lessons From My 100-Day Challenge'

    In this Corner Connection, we’re diving deep into discipline, accountability, and the power of keeping promises to yourself. I just completed 100 Push-ups a day / 100 day Challenge, and I’m sharing the whole journey with you. This isn’t just about fitness. It’s about showing up when life gets busy, and finding the people who will push us to be our best. I built a group of some of my closest friends so we could grow old healthy, together. Only two consistently showed up. Instead of quitting, I found a new community through a 100-day challenge, and they kept me going through long days, late nights, and even cross-country travel into a new time zone.     Motivational Monday - Family, Voting, and the Conversations We Can’t Afford to Avoid

    In this episode, we’re talking about showing up for the people we love, at home and at the polls. This weekend I took a quick trip to see my Uncle Jesse, 90 years young and still in his right mind, and watched my dad reunite with him after almost three years. Moments like that remind me that none of us know how many days we have, so we’ve got to make every one count. That same love is why I’m asking you to get out and vote. I know this midterm doesn’t have the fire we felt in ‘08 and ‘12, but it’s going to change the trajectory of our future. Vote early if you can, don’t let celebrities or pundits tell you your vote won’t count, and take somebody with you. An elder, a neighbor, a college student who needs a ride. I also get real about listening to our young people without judging, because if we don’t hear them, they’ll pull away.     Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - Walk With Me 'You’re Never Alone on the Stage Of Life'

    In this episode, we’re diving deep into faith over fear and the power of knowing you’re never alone. Today, I’m continuing Monday’s conversation about my dad’s journey from being selected to represent our church’s male choir to stepping on that stage for his solo, “Walk With Me.” At 79 years old, a Vietnam veteran with a lifetime of experience, he still got nervous and wondered if he’d bitten off more than he could chew. This isn’t just about our courage, and how God takes our hand when we step into something new. Night after night, I recorded my dad and played it back so he could hear himself grow. Somewhere in those sessions, I realized the song he was singing was the very prayer he needed. In this episode, I also share my own nerves from my corporate training days and break down how God walks with us from every side: above us like an umbrella, behind us cleaning up our mistakes, and beneath us as our rock and foundation.     The Corner Connection - I’m Proud of You 'Celebrating the Battles Nobody Claps For'

    In this Corner Connection, we’re diving deep into the power of consistency, authenticity, and showing up even when you’re frustrated. I’m taking you behind the scenes of Sunday Morning Meditation, where my phone ran out of storage not once, but twice, while I was out at the lake. In that moment I was upset, so I turned my back to the camera, recorded some B-roll, and figured I’d fix it later. What happened next blew my mind. The video I made in my most frustrated moment became the most viewed thing I’ve ever posted. This isn’t about going viral. It’s about the reminder that you never know which day, which post, or which moment is going to reach somebody who needs it. Keep showing up. Do it for the love of it. Do it for yourself first.     Motivational Monday - Without The Good Roots, There Is No Good Fruits

    In this episode, we’re digging into our ROOTS. This weekend I attended a special gala at my church, and the minister said something I had to write down right away: “Without the roots, there’s no fruits.” My son swears I’ve heard it before, but it hit me brand new, and I knew it was what I wanted to share with you all. Today, we’re talking about where our roots come from, who’s watering them, and whether we’re taking care of the tree that’s holding everybody up. So many of us are that tree. Our branches stretch out to our parents, our children, our jobs, and our friends, but nobody’s pouring water on us. I share what my avocado plants and tomato gardens have taught me about pruning, cutting back the energy suckers, and letting go of what’s no longer alive so the roots can come back stronger. Remember, a plant turned away from the sun will always work its way back to the light. When’s the last time you turned back toward yours? Because here’s the truth, FAM: you can look strong and healthy on the outside, but the first wind that comes through will show whether your roots are solid.
