    My father died in prison. In this episode of The Collier Landry Show, I talk about the complicated reality of what that means for me: the grief, the relief, the confusion, the old wounds, and the strange finality of losing the man who murdered my mother and shaped so much of my life through trauma. This isn’t a simple story, and it isn’t a simple loss. I share what happened when I got the call, how I navigated conversations with prison staff and family, what it brought up emotionally, and why this moment feels like both an ending and the beginning of something else. I also talk about guilt, unresolved grief, generational trauma, and the ritual I may create with my father’s ashes as a way to finally put part of this story to rest.     Collier's Story, Pt. 3: What it's like to be a child witness at your father's murder trial.

    Collier Landry and Brenda Fisher discuss the days around his father's murder trial. After his father, Dr. John F. Boyle, Jr., was arrested, Collier was thrown into the foster care system, where he would stay until non-family members adopted him. Given the gravity of the situation surrounding the murder of his mother by his father, immediate family members found themselves paralyzed by their trauma and unable to come forward to try and help Collier and his sister. Given the nature of Collier's witness status, all of the adults in his life tried to shield him from watching TV, reading newspapers, etc. Collier discusses community members who were conflicted and couldn't believe that their doctor could commit such a horrific act of violence.     Collier shares with Brenda how his mother, Noreen's cousin, recently reached out after seeing his documentary "A Murder in Mansfield." When Collier seeks to learn more about his mother's childhood from her family, he is shut down simply for being "his father's son." Collier remembers how he was shut down many years ago by both his mother AND father's family, who labeled him "guilty by association," despite Collier's crusade in aiding the investigation of his mother's murder, leading to his father's conviction for her murder. Collier reveals how this stigma has haunted him his entire life and seeks to understand if other "children of murderers" face the same hurdles in life. In this episode, Collier shares the backstory of how he came to know this woman. He reads a recent email she has shared between her and my sociopathic father, who he witnessed murder his mother when I was 11 years old.     Local Ohio Tragedy: Melinda Davis' murder resonates with Collier's own mother's murder.

    Collier Landry and Brenda Fisher discuss the tragic discovery of the body of Melinda Kay Davis, mother of four, on March 14, 2021, in Galloway, Ohio. Davis' ex-boyfriend, John Henry Mack, Jr., had been charged with kidnapping before the discovery. United States Marshals said Mack boasted at one point to investigators that Davis' "body would never be found," which helped connect him to his ex-girlfriend's disappearance. The case presented a familiar tone, as Ms. Davis had reportedly said to friends that if she disappeared, Mack might be responsible. Collier's mother told him that if she was to disappear, his father had something to do with it. 2 months later, her body was found, and Collier's father was arrested for her murder. ***Collier also discusses the distance the murder of his mother has put between himself and his family, especially his half-sister Krissy, who recently got remarried. Eubanks has been on the run after confessing and being incarcerated for the brutal rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Mansfield, Ohio, almost 50 years ago.  Eubanks, lauded as a model prisoner by the Ohio Dept. of Corrections, escaped after being granted leave to go Christmas shopping in December 1973 and hasn't been seen since. Dave Messmore sought the involvement of America's Most Wanted and John Walsh, which re-aired the episode on March 22, 2021, and brought multiple tips leading US Marshalls to Los Angeles, CA. -Collier and Dave also discuss the murder of Collier's mother, Noreen, in which Dave served as the lead detective on the case and was the ONLY ONE who believed 11-year-old Collier that his mother was murdered by his father, Dr. John F.     Collier Landry is being stalked by a woman obsessed with his past. As a child, Collier testified against his father in the brutal murder of his mother. Collier channeled his tragedy into the ID documentary "A Murder in Mansfield," revealing intimate details about his childhood and the loss of his mother. A fan of the documentary reached out to Collier wanting to collaborate on another documentary together. Collier was open to the idea until she began conflicting with his girlfriend at the time. After Collier departed from the project, this person reached out to his friends and family, trying to establish relationships with them. He blocked her online, but she continued to not only reach out to him but also his incarcerated father. In his efforts to stop his stalker, Collier, he went public about the situation on his true crime podcast, "Moving Past Murder," where he shares his unique perspective on surviving crime and moving on.  **The following episode of Strictly Stalking contains topics including murder. Harris Blevins for the murder of her husband Todd Blevins in Lexington, Ohio, a suburb of Collier's hometown of Mansfield. As some pointed out on Social Media, the details of the case share similarities with the murder of Collier's own mother by his father, Dr. John F. Boyle, Jr. Those include the body of Mr. Blevins being buried in the basement of his home and the accused being charged with "abuse of a corpse". Concerning to both Collier and Brenda are the children, who are most certain to be without both of their parents for the better part of their lives. Read is currently on trial for Second Degree Murder of her boyfriend, Boston PD Officer John O'Keefe. It all started on the evening of January 28, 2022, at 34 Fairview Road, a home owned by Nicole Albert and husband Brian Albert. A party had gathered there that night following a night out drinking at Waterfall Bar and Grill, nominally to celebrate Brian Albert Jr.’s 23rd birthday, to which O’Keefe and Read were both invited. By 6:03 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2022, Jennifer McCabe placed a call to 911 reporting that she, Read, and another friend named Kerry Roberts found O’Keefe’s body in the front yard.
