Shania Twain takes us back to her childhood, singing late nights in smoke-filled bars, growing up far too fast and without real control over her own life. She speaks movingly about the emotional cost of starting so young.     This week Nick and Angela welcome Charlotte Church to Dish HQ. Charlotte Church released her debut album Voice of an Angel in 1998  - she was twelve. Since then, she has become one of the most recognisable names in music, selling more than ten million albums worldwide. Charlotte has performed for Queen Elizabeth, the Pope and at George Bush’s inauguration. She fronted The Charlotte Church Show for three seasons and won Best Female Newcomer award at the British Comedy Awards in 2006. These days, life is entirely different for Charlotte Church and her family. They live in accordance with nature in the heart of rural Wales and Charlotte runs a wellness retreat called The Dreaming. Nick mixes a raspberry and ginger fizz mocktail while Angela serves a show-stopping savoury cheesecake with balsamic glazed vegetables. The meal is paired with a delicious Yering Station The Elms Pinot Noir. Conversation flowed beautifully from  The Masked Singer to meditation, mushrooms and Mother Nature.     Charlotte Church was catapulted into the spotlight at the age of 11 after singing down the line on television show, This Morning. Within two years Church had performed at Rupert Murdoch’s wedding to Wendi Deng, opened for Shirley Bassey and played the Royal Albert Hall. As a teenager she had her phone hacked and was hounded by the tabloids - but these experiences also helped her find her political voice. Her new TV show, Charlotte’s Dream Build, sees her transform the former home of Laura Ashley into a wellness retreat in Wales and is available on Really and Discovery+

    Charlotte Church is full of surprises. An opera singer turned alt-pop star and political activist who’s now turned to nature and sound healing. Famous at 11 with a no 1 album in the classical charts at 12. She celebrated her 15th birthday at the Grammys, sang for the pope, the queen and presidents including at George Bush’s inauguration and even sat a GCSE exam at the White House. She has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Her fame was stratospheric but she always remained true to her roots. Since then, she has changed a lot, experimenting with music, hosting her own chat show on channel 4 and her famous club night Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon as well as being a political activist, always under the scrutiny of the press and the public eye. Today, Charlotte and her family live in rural Wales where she is very connected to nature and runs a new wellness retreat called The Dreaming. She is as outgoing and fun as ever with an infectious laugh.
