Today, I sit down with Meghan Trainor, an award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist that has garnered a GRAMMY for Best New Artist, achieved eight multi-platinum singles and two platinum albums, sold out three world tours, penned multi-platinum hits for peers across pop and country, received countless industry awards and nominations, and has recently started her own podcast with her brother Ryan Trainor entitled Workin’ On It, while also becoming a TikTok star. Meghan shares what her childhood was like growing up on a small community island, her passion for song writing and how having supportive parents helped her get recognition for her talent and eventually led to releasing her debut song, All About That Bass. We talk about how being authentic and just showing up as yourself online and in real life will make people appreciate you more, why appreciating the body you have is the best way to love yourself, the crippling panic attacks that were overcome by asking for help and working with the right people, and how she has found love with a man who accepted her flaws and sees her true value.  Meghan shows us how our life may be built within a bubble and still find the courage to dream big, break free from any limitations, and find success in doing things we are passionate about. 5. Going Deeper - Ryan and Meghan Trainor, Love is Blind 2, Mediation

    02/23/2022

Going Deeper - Ryan and Meghan Trainor, Love is Blind 2, Mediation

Today we are back with another episode of Going Deeper with The Viall Files. We are joined by Ryan and Meghan Trainor, who host a podcast together called Working on It! First, we dive into talking about Love is Blind 2, where we debate whether Shayne is toxic or a self-aware goofball. We then talk about how LIB describes itself as a social experiment, giving it a really different feel from other shows and the changed dynamic of watching them get married. We also talk about how Ryan feels turned off from dating after watching the antics on the show, and how Nick and Meghan are pushing him to date again and download dating apps. Will they convince him to put himself out there, or will Ryan's fear of loud laughter shatter his changes from finding love? Afterwards, we get into our Mediation callers, who need help figuring out how to manage each other's emotions. She says she's cold like an ice queen and that he's soft and cuddly like a puppy. They struggle with being honest about their emotions, while also trying not to hurt one another in the process. "That is your ego, by the way."
