एकमात्र अद्वितीय त्रिकालबाधित ब्रह्म-सत्ता ही सत्य है। उसके अतिरिक्त अन्य कुछ नहीं है। सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म — ऐसा भी वेद वाक्य है। इसका कारण है कि जैसे मन्द अन्धकार में रज्जु ही सर्प रूप भ्रम से दिखाई पड़ती है किन्तु अन्धकार के पूर्व एवं पश्चात् वही रस्सी ही है। जो सर्प प्रतीत होता है वह रस्सी से भिन्न सत्ता वाला नहीं है। अतः रस्सी ही सत्य है। भ्रमजनित सर्प मिथ्या है। उसी प्रकार अविद्या में निर्गुण निराकार ब्रह्म सत्ता ही सगुण साकार जगत् दिखाई देती है। वस्तु तत्त्व एक ही है। ~ वेदान्त केशरी स्वामी निरंजनजी महाराज

The only truly unique and eternal Reality — the Absolute Brahman — alone is Truth. Apart from That, nothing else exists. The Vedic statement “Sarvam khalvidam Brahma” (“All this indeed is Brahman”) also declares the same. The reason is as follows: just as in dim light a rope appears, through illusion, to be a snake — yet before and after the darkness, it is only a rope — in reality, the snake that seems to appear is not a separate entity from the rope. Therefore, the rope alone is real; the illusory snake is false. In the same way, due to ignorance (avidyā), the attributeless and formless Brahman appears as the world of attributes and forms (saguṇa-sākāra jagat).
