    Original story is Jasu's Adventures in Cambodia. The name of the book is Folk Tales from India. The translation is my own and I am no student of literature, so there are too many translation errors in this that I must admit. However, as a child I used to love reading this particular story and it has stayed with me since then. Therefore, it is my request to all the listeners on my channel to please forgive me for the mistakes that I have made during translation of this folktale. Thank you! Happy listening folks!

The stories cover some of his major characters like tuntuni, bagh, amongst others and takes the readers into the wonderland of adventures they undertake as well as the mishaps or problems they face. The storytelling by the author is so vivid that the events flash before the reader's eyes. I hope I have been able to do justice to the author's works that I have lent my voice to in this episode and I sincerely also hope that children hearing this Audiostory from anywhere in the world listens and enjoys the stories with as much glee as I had while reading and recording them.     Take a joyride to childhood as you listen to this audiostory "Jola aar Shaat Bhoot" written by one of children's favourite bengali storywriters Upendrakishore Ray Choudhury, the father of Sukumar Ray and grandfather of Satyajit Ray. Upendrakishore is credited with creating the famous singer-drummer duo of Goopy Gayne and Bagha Bayne, the partly naughty partly witty tailorbird Tuntuni, the foolish Tiger uncle (Bagh mama) and the clever Fox nephew (Sheyal bhagne) amongst many more of his creations. Hope you will like this story of seven ghosts who gives three magic items to Jola mistaking his couplet as a warning to ward them off.
