Welcome back to my podcast “こんなときのにほんご”.
Hi! I'm Megumi! It’s great to have you tuning in!It’s the 227th time.
That's all for today.
Thanks for joining me today.
Incidentally, this podcast will be updated every two weeks from this year.
So The next one will be on 18th MAY.
Bye!
—— English ——
I've put English in the captions again this week, so if you can't hear the Japanese or can't understand it, please use it as a reference!
As this is a May podcast, we would like to introduce you to this word.
Which explanation is correct for ‘Satsukibare’? Please choose by number.
1. only be used on sunny days in May
2. we can use on sunny days between rainy season periods regardless of the month.
The Answer is 2.
The term ‘satukibare’ originally meant ‘a break in the rainy season’.
However, the term is now also used to refer to ‘crisp sunny weather in May’, making it difficult to understand. It may be worth knowing what it originally meant.
