今回は私が英語に訳そうとしてうまくできなかった日本語をご紹介します。

この言葉は、メールでもよく使いますが、電話口でもビジネスの場では頻出です。

次の空欄に当てはまる自然な日本語を、1〜3の中から一つ選んでください。

A：それではこちらの企画は、ミーティングでお伝えしたとおりに進めますね。

正解は、2.「お手数をおかけいたします」が、です。

英語だと、「I apologize for the inconvenience.」といったフレーズでいうそうです。

「お手数をおかけいたしますが、」は、相手に何かお願いをするときに手間や負担をかけることを先に謝罪する意味を含む定型文句です。ぜひ覚えておいてください。
