有点儿VS一点儿VS一下儿 How do we say "a little" in Mandarin?

Are you confused with the expression of "a little bit" in mandarin?
Why can't you just say "一点儿“ in mandarin to show all the "a little”?

Here are the structures and examples for you to know: 

一(yì) 点(dián) 儿(er) +n. 

wǒ yào yì diánr shuǐ 。

 我 要 一 点儿 水 。 I want a little water. 

有(yóu) 点(dián) 儿(er) +adj. 

wǒ yóu diánr lèi 。 

 我 有 点儿 累 。 I'm a little tired。

 V. + 一(yí) 下(xià) 儿(er) 

 qǐnɡ děnɡ yí xiàr! 

 请 等 一 下儿 ! Please wait a moment!
