I'm a big fan of Slate, a big fan of poetry, and a big fan of podcasting, so this new podcast from Slate was clearly targeted directly at me and I subscribed with pleasure. Unfortunately, the first 4 podcasts are a mixed bag, not due to the quality of the poems themselves or the quality of the readers' performances, but solely because of the poor sound quality. Only the first poem, "Spring Comes to Ohio" is clear and easy to hear. The other other three all appear to have been read over the phone, with the reader at the bottom of a very deep well.
Come on, Slate, I know you can do better!
