    330 | Day 1 - New Year January Reset 2026

Hey Friends, What if your clutter isn't evidence of failure — but evidence of how much you've been carrying? In this episode, we kick off Day One of the January Reset by dismantling the pressure that comes with a new year and offering a different way to begin. Instead of forcing goals or pushing through, we slow down, regulate the nervous system, and set an intention that's grounded in the body — not willpower. You'll learn why feeling "behind" isn't a motivation problem, how clutter often reflects seasons of grief, caregiving, transition, and survival, and why change doesn't stick unless your nervous system feels safe enough to sustain it. Intention Setting:  This isn't about goals. It's about choosing who you want to be. Name what you want. (Less chaos, more ease, a new job, deeper connection.) Ask what's underneath that desire. How do you actually want to feel? (Calm, safety, confidence, openness.) Bring that feeling into your body. Ground your feet. Slow your breath. Soften your shoulders. Feel gravity. Write one sentence for today. "Today, I choose calm by staying grounded in my body." We also talk about what real commitment looks like — and how choosing yourself doesn't require intensity, just consistency. If you want support decluttering your entire home in a calm, sustainable way, the year-long Declutter Your Chaos program is open during the January trial period. 329 | How to Make 2026 Your Decluttered Year (Without Burning Out)

Happy New Year Friends, You know that moment when you walk through your house and think, I can't keep living like this. You decide the new year will be different. You'll finally deal with the clutter. And then life happens. This isn't a failure. It's life. In this episode, we talk about why decluttering hasn't worked in the past. Clutter isn't a motivation problem. It's a nervous system problem. When your nervous system is overloaded, avoidance makes sense. Your body is protecting you from more demand—including your home. We cover: Why short-term decluttering plans fail How stress and shame keep people stuck Why consistency comes from safety, not pressure How regulating your nervous system makes letting go easier We also do a short guided practice to help you pause, breathe, and take one small action without spiraling. This isn't about doing more. It's about doing this differently. If you want support doing this consistently, the year-long program is open. You can find all the details at https://declutteryourchaos.com/ If this episode helped you, please leave a review or share it with someone who needs it. Here's to a calmer, more supported 2026! 328 | What Your Clutter Is Trying to Tell You

Hey Guys, You know that moment when you walk through your house and think, "I need to do something about this" — and then life pulls you in another direction? This episode is about why that happens, especially for women who spend their lives taking care of everyone else — and how to finally stop the cycle without shame, pressure, or burnout. When your nervous system is taxed from doing, managing, and holding everything together, your home often becomes the last thing you tend to. And then the guilt sets in. But clutter isn't a personal failure — it's a physiological response to overload. The 4-Step Reset You'll Practice When you notice stress or shame rising around clutter: 1. Label the feeling – Name what's actually happening in your body 2. Somatic anchoring – Place your hands on your body to signal safety 3. Exposure + acceptance – Stay present instead of avoiding 4. Self-compassion – Acknowledge that you were doing the best you could This is how change starts — without forcing yourself to "do more." Important Reminder You can start with your nervous system. You can start with your home. Either way, you're moving toward regulation and order — as long as you're not doing it from pressure, shame, or control. Regulate your nervous system, take action, and your identity shifts as a result. ⸻ Want Support Doing This Consistently? The year-long program is open. It's where we do this together, week by week — with structure, nervous system support, and accountability. You can learn more at declutteryourchaos.com XO, Amber

327 | Wardrobe Series - Decluttering Scarves, Decluttering Hats, Decluttering Belts

Belts, scarves, and hats don't look like a problem — until they quietly take over drawers, bins, and shelves. Because they're small, they often escape decision-making. And because they feel optional, we keep far more than we actually use. In this episode, we declutter the accessories that create background noise in your wardrobe and teach the skill that actually matters: making decisions without perfect certainty.   Hey Friends, Coats and jackets are one of the biggest space stealers in the home. They're bulky, expensive, and rarely worn evenly — which makes them one of the hardest categories to declutter. In this episode, we focus on why letting go of jackets feels harder than it should, and how to make clear, calm decisions without second-guessing yourself.
