    9. Asian White-Washed Foods and Everything You Forgot Was Asian! Part 1

    9. Asian White-Washed Foods and Everything You Forgot Was Asian! Part 1

The 2BDs reflect on the impact of the anti-Asian hate…so much frustration and sadness. It’s a well-deserved bitch fit. Then on to a round of lexical ping pong as they name off things brought to you by Asian folx! Following with a look at where the hell Crab Rangoon comes from and why Gigi and Rosy avoid ordering it. Does it have anything to do with Burma? As the 2BDs do a dish dive and discuss the diminishing effects of appropriating Polynesian and Maritime SEA cultures, Rosy gets touchy about the happenings in Myanmar. Btw, if you’re wondering…cream cheese was invented by a New Yorker, not a Philadelphian. Tune in!

    8. Asian Air Fryer Flexes!

    8. Asian Air Fryer Flexes!

We recorded this a month ago so our intro is outdated, but the message remains the same. We are committed to fighting Asian hate and violence against women.

One vehicle to share our stories and reaffirm our existence is through food. In this episode, Gigi recalls a cult favorite 80's appliance of Filipino households- the infamous Turbo to compare with Rosy's currently not-yet-sponsored favorite gadget- the Air Fryer! Oh and of course, in our Rude/Not Rude™, we examine what it means to say an Asian person has better skin if they're fair skinned.

    7. Asian Foods for the New Year!

    7. Asian Foods for the New Year!

Hey Everyone! We're back with our first episode of 2021 and it's all about the ultimate celestial holiday—Lunar New Year! It's the Year of The Ox, which means welcoming progress and nourishment. So, we're bringing you two nourishing eats- Buddha's Delight (aka Luóhàn zhāi) and Mooncake! Apparently, Buddha had 18 best friends and the moon is made of salted duck egg- not cheese. And in our always unfiltered, Rude/Not Rude™, we ask, 'Why the f*ck don't Asian people get a day off for Lunar New Year?'

    6. Asian Foods to Bring to a Potluck!

    6. Asian Foods to Bring to a Potluck!

Rosy stresses the proper way to say "Samusas" (5:00) while Gigi gives a shoutout to the Spanish colonists who got the sausage party dish started for filipinos- Embutido (15:55)! And with the holiday feasting upon us, this episode's Rude Not Rude™(25:09) asks if there's shame in serving store-bought. More importantly, is anyone still eating jello?

*Oops! Disclaimer: As with many food practices, "Potluck" has varied origins. It's a practice that's believed to have existed since the Middle Ages to describe feeding unexpected travelers. It has also referred to a meal with no planned menu or plopping leftover food into one pot. So, please don't @ us. We get enough of that from our immigrant parents. XP

Fun conversations

If you are a fan of podcasts like Hollywood Crime Scene where the hosts running the show dish and joke about food, this is highly recommended! Delightful overall, makes me want to rush out to the Korean market and stock up on all the kimchi my cart can carry.
