Mackie DL1608 Video Podcast

This product looks very exciting. The idea of sitting in the room to mix from the iPad is so appealing, I can't say enough. No More Snake Cable! Ok, there, I said it. Now for the down side. Like a previous reviewer stated, please stop waving your arms. All the features look great but I am missing one that could have been very easy to incorporate and is almost standard on today's boards, a USB output. Come on, REALLY? Where is it? That is the only think keeping me from a full 5 stars. If it could double as a 16 channel audio interface, it would be nearly AMAZING!

Love this podcast! I bought a new iPad Pro and Mackie DL1608 mixer after researching what would best fit my needs...and having watched this podcast, it was obvious that Mackie was the one for me!

...I would be a bit concerned right about now

This thing seems excellent!! It certainly has it's place. The mobility and ease are really what is selling me. Perfect for small venues/bands, and like the video said, corporates. The fact that 10 devices can be running on it is also awesome! Granted this is the first video, the mixer seems to run very stable. One downside to me is that it only has 2 effects engines. I'm sure this will be changed down the line with newer versions of the hardware. Overall, 5 stars so far :)
