217 The Real Reason You Think You’re Not Fit Enough — Why Social Media Gatekeeping Can F**k All the Way Off

In today’s "small" rant, I’m calling *bullsh*t\* on the social media gatekeepers who make fitness feel exclusive, elite, and totally out of reach for normal women with real lives. Just as you start to feel like you’re making progress, BOOM — another filtered reel, another set of “rules,” and another so-called fitness “standard” that leaves you feeling like you’re not doing enough. From **macro-tracking shame** to **hydration vest speed-policing**, this episode calls out the performative crap that’s ruining what fitness is actually meant to be: something that supports your life, not something that takes it over. We cover: 🔥 Why fitness content has become more about aesthetics than health 🔥 7 ways gatekeeping shows up (and why it’s total BS) 🔥 How to spot content that disempowers you — and scroll on by 🔥 The truth about lifting, running, food tracking, and what *actually* counts 🔥 A reminder that YOU define what fitness means in your life If you’ve ever thought: “Maybe I’m not doing it right.” “I’ll never look like that so why bother?” “I guess I’m not *really* fit…” Then this episode is your wake-up call. You are not doing it wrong. You’re just surrounded by noise. *** Stay tuned for next week’s episode where we’re flipping the script on body confidence AND I’ll be sharing a **free series** that you are absolutely going to want in your life.

214 Your Autumn Reset: 5 things to ditch and 3 to keep for Energy and Confidence

Autumn is one of the best times of year for a reset. It’s not too dark, not too cold, and it comes with that “fresh start” energy that can help you refocus on what you want before the year ends. In this episode, I’m helping you prepare for a simple but powerful reset by sharing 5 things it’s time to let go of – the hidden drains on your energy and confidence – and 3 things you absolutely should keep (or add) if you want to feel clear, grounded and ready to go this season. These are the foundations of the work I do with clients through my 3Rs framework: reclaiming yourself from all the noise and pressure, reconnecting with your body and energy, and then rising into the habits and routines that actually work for you. Today’s episode is all about those first two steps – simplifying, releasing and starting to feel in control again. Key Takeaways5 things to let go of for more energy and confidence: Overthinking and second-guessing yourselfTracking everything (food, steps, macros) to the point of distrustForcing rigid routines that don’t fit your lifeChasing quick fixes and the next “magic answer”Pushing through instead of listening to what your body needs 3 things to keep or add instead: Intention: clarity about what really matters to youNervous system regulation: simple practices that bring you back to centreEmbodiment: living in your body instead of constantly monitoring it Energy and confidence don’t come from adding more to your plate – they come from letting go of the things that drain you, creating space for what matters, and simplifying.

213 The Problem with "Self Improvement" (and Why You Don’t Need Fixing)

If you’ve ever found yourself buried in self-help books, podcasts and courses looking for that one secret that will finally make everything click – you’re not alone. Self improvement can be powerful and life-changing. But it also has a shadow side. When we get stuck in constantly chasing the next solution, constantly trying to fix ourselves, it can leave us feeling like we’re never enough, always behind, and never quite able to enjoy the progress we’re making. In this episode, I share my own experience of falling into the self-improvement trap, what it taught me, and how I shifted to a more grounded approach. We’ll talk about the difference between genuine growth and the endless cycle of trying to fix yourself – and how you can start to trust yourself and integrate what you already know instead of always looking for the next answer outside of yourself. Key TakeawaysThe hidden downside of self-improvement when it comes from a place of “I need fixing”How constant learning without integration keeps you stuck in procrastinationSigns you may be outsourcing your self-trust to someone else’s system, book or methodHow to use self-development as a tool for growth rather than a crutchWhy reconnecting to yourself (not just consuming more information) is the missing piece Self improvement isn’t bad – but when it becomes a way of constantly proving yourself, it loses its power. This episode will help you step back, slow down, and approach growth from a place of self-trust, not self-criticism.
