Many people make resolutions or spiritual goals but often fail for lack of commitment or other reasons. It's never too late to make spiritual goals or to get back on the road they committed themselves to at the beginning of 2026. Part 1 covers the spiritual goal of annual Bible reading.     SIGNS OF LIFE IN THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION!!

    The 2026 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting took place in Orlando, FL on June 9-10. There really was only one significant takeaway that perhaps showed that this organization and fellowship of churches just may be getting back to its roots. This was mainly seen in the enormous landslide passage of the Truth and Unity amendment, sponsored by Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Al Mohler. This amendment serves to give clarity to the existing pastoral article in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. The was the first step toward making this amendment part of the constitution of the SBC. It must win by over two-thirds vote once again during the SBC Annual Meeting that's scheduled in Indianapolis next year. Pray for the SBC.     RED WAVE MAGA BLOWOUT! The FALL of the RINOs

    What took place in the Texas primary on Tues, May 26 sealed a new era for GOP politics. Even with over $100 million poured into the campain of Senator John Cornyn, he was still crushed by his opponent, Attorney General Ken Paxton, challenging him for his seat by around 27 points. It was clear the Texas GOP voters were making their choices on issues over dollars in this election. The signs for this political earthquake were occurring throughout this campaign season, and finally produced the main lesson to be learned from this week. This is that President Trump is now clearly the leader of the Republican Party. This was sealed by an unprecedented 117-0 win rate by candidates he has endorsed in this primary cycle.   In addition, this episode will cover the concerns and spiritual dangers of Paxton's opponent in November, Texas Rep. James Talarico. Concerning statements by Talarico are covered with commentary from traditional evangelical doctrines that should raise the alarm in their camp.     WHY THOMAS MASSIE LOST -- AND MORE!

    Tuesday, May 19, was a day of turning of the tide for the new Red Wave. Though 2Days Denarius as a channel does not often address political issues, this ministry understands the critical need of addressing politics on occasion, especially when it comes to moral issues and/or those that address the wellbeing of the citizens of our nation. There were large rumblings from the conservative base showing their anger in the voting booth recently in Indiana and the Louisiana primaries. And then it spilled over into Kentucky in a big way. One representative, Thomas Massie, who steadily voting against critical issues that would have aided the wellbeing of citizens, along with restoring election integrity, was voted out of office in a landslide. It is necessary to give attention to this trend as this voter turnout just may move the balance away from the challenging party this year when midterm elections come. That remains to be seen. But it's clear the conservatives in the GOP have become the moving force when it comes to showing what they expect of their senators and representatives.     OPERATION EPIC FERVENCY: National Day of Prayer 2026

    The National Day of Prayer is May 7, 2026. This special day is recognized annually on the first Thursday of May. This episode of 2Days Denarius is dedicated to prayer and to help those who wish to pray learn how to pray and gives some ideas of what to pray for. The National Day of Prayer is an interfaith event, so people of all faith and religious affiliations are encouraged to take part in either a local event or on their own. Once again this year, this podcast will feature the prayer from the famous minister of the past who was the impetus to ignite this annual event, the late Rev. Billy Graham.
