CALVARY'S LUSTER AND HOPE STILL SHINE!

This episode of 2Days Denarius for Resurrection Day focuses on the cross our Savior died upon and the salvation it brought to those who believe. This encouraging podcast comes from a devotional listeners should be familiar with from other episodes of the past. Two impactful devotional readings, "The Precious Blood" and "Love Lusters At Calvary" give a close glimpse of the cross, Jesus' suffering, our sin and its impact, and Christ's resurrection, which brought the way to God and salvation for us. Listeners will experience their feelings of sadness for His suffering, yet also, great gratitude for their salvation that came from Christ's victorious resurrection.  These readings with commentary come from the well-renowned devotional titled, "The Valley of Vision," which is edited by Arthur Bennett. This is one of the very best devotionals available to Christians. It was published in 1975 by Banner of Truth Trust and may be purchased at banneroftruth.org. This ministry encourages all of its listeners to acquire a copy of this excellent work for their own devotional and meditation times. It also serves as a great gift to others as well. FRANKLIN GRAHAM TO PRESIDENT TRUMP: YOU CAN BE SAVED!! HERE'S HOW!!

This week, President Trump posted a letter he had received in October 2025 regarding comments he made to reporters expressing hope that would have eternal life someday. When Evangelist Franklin Graham heard about this, he wrote a letter to President Trump explaining the Scriptural plan of salvation in Jesus Christ that all mankind must follow to receive everlasting life. (John 3:16; John 14:6). The fact that the president posted this document on his own Truth Social page shows that the letter had left some degree of impact on him. But the good news for us is that salvation in Jesus Christ is available to all of us. Unaware, the president in his own way, shared Christ as a witness without realizing it. Now the world can see the plan of salvation too! This episode addresses this letter and how it affects those who need to come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. With Good Friday and Resurrection Day 2026 upon us, what a great time to post a podcast on the plan of salvation so others may come to Jesus and become a new creation in HIM!! THE MISSING DOCTRINE OF SPIRITUAL ILLUMINATION

We live in a time of seeming vast spiritual decline and knowledge of the basic teaches of the Evangelical faith. Though this may be mostly due much to neglect of Scripture reading and knowledge, but even if there is reading going on out there, it still appears there's a great valley between what is read and how it is to be applied to our daily living. This episode focus on the lost doctrine of spiritual illumination. Evangelicals have traditionally believed that Christians should be active in their reading engagement with the Word of God and to pray for the illuminating power from the Holy Spirit to provide  understanding of the Scriptures to be spiritual enabled to apply them to their lives. Those who've read through the Word in faith do understand the spiritual value of experiencing the time with God in reading His Word often brings special truths to our lives that we never understood before experiencing God's power to open our understanding of His Word. This podcast will help listeners to understand what spiritual illumination is and is not. It will also lay a bedrock and encourage them to step out and invest themselves in greater measure for spiritual growth in 2026.* *Please take note here that any illumination we believe we’ve experienced while being in the Word will never run contrary to what is clearly written in Scripture. The Spirit of God never contradicts Himself. Let us read humbly, seeking His guidance and will as we thoughtfully and prayerfully engage in our reading. Some material for education and commentary in this podcast comes from Donald McKim's excellent devotional, "Everyday Prayer with the Puritans," P&R Publishing, 2021.  It is available in book and audio format on Amazon.com. Theme song “Holy Is the Lord” is used by permission of songwriter/ performing artist Pastor Steve Hereford of the Changed By Grace Church in Jacksonville, FL. PROVIDENCE AND PRAYER: Morning Starter Dec. 8, 2025

The providence of God is His working and sovereign control over our lives as Christians and the world, along with its nations as well. We often don't realize or overlook His workings and sovereign will over all things. Knowing this, we should take comfort that even in the greatest of trials and crises in our lives, God is there. He sees, He rules, and whatever He ordains is right. This episode of 2Days Denarius focuses on how God's providence and our prayers work together as found in the devotional "Everyday Prayer with the Puritians" by Donald McKim. It's based on the story of Abraham sending his servant to his former country to find a wife of his son, Isaac. It's found in Genesis 24:42-49 and it puts God's providence and a man's prayer working together at a critical point in history. This is a great way to start your week that will help listeners, perhaps, see more clearly how God watches over and guides the circumstances in our lives often when we call upon Him in prayer. Material used for commentary and education in this episode comes from the excellent devotional: "Everyday Prayer with the Puritans" by Donald McKim, published by P&R Publishing, Philippsburg, NJ, 2021. This devotional is highly recommended to listeners of 2DaysD!
