Meena at the Crossroads, The Lost Army of the First Queen

Meena, I'm sure that you will find this letter eventually. That is if you do return to Rosewalk at all. Perhaps you've already found your place out there in the Heath and have no need to come back here, back to this house, back to this table where we used to read. I'm sorry perhaps I'm being a little unfair and too much a cynic. I've tried to write this letter almost a dozen times... you can probably find all the drafts in the bin if you wanted to. (they are not much better though) The thing is, I have decided to leave Rosewalk. I know we had our plans and we made our promises, but after hearing your stories of the Heathland and listening to whispers on the wind across the bay I realized I want stories of my own. Once I stopped getting your letters I knew I had to find a way to go. I am joining a wandering tavern that stopped in the city so ill be able to travel with plenty of rest. Hearth, the head chef said that I could come with them for free as long as I did a little work here and there. I brought along my flute so hopefully a bit of music will suffice. They are all really nice, and the caterpillar that caries the tavern, Levi, lets me feed him by hand sometimes. So all I mean to say is, I don't want you to worry about me. I'll be okay and maybe someday we will see each other again out in the vastness of Heath. With love, Your friend, Elacore Meena comes home to find Elacore gone on Xer own journey. Sullenly heading home to her adoptive mother Lapis, Meena begins to work through her feelings and find a new path forward. Meena takes her journey through the mists of the Crossroads, a Hallowed place that confronts her with ideas about what she has lost. Music in this episode is by Devin Nelson. It is a Dark night when one sleepy rabbit stumbles into the Deep woods. The Flicker of a firelight and the kindness of a guide help Meena along, but a strong wind on an open field spells danger. Help our friends cross this flat land and find the warm safety of a torchlight at the end. Left Foot Forward 21: The Howl of the Devil Dog pt 1

The wind is a funny thing,  isn't it Blossom?  what might be a swift and refreshing breeze at the peak of Devildays, would easily quicken the step home during a particularly desolate Frsotbite. It is just as well that a raging Maelstrom tearing up trees in the sodden forest could produce a tailwind and underbreeze needed for a fluttering seed to finish its journey to a verdant field on the other edge of Hæth. I guess such is the will of the many sky gods that blow across the land, tempting us both with comfort and concern. They seem to roam free about the land, untethered to any place, without a care for what they leave behind be it good or bad.  I wish that I could have a journey like that. I want to just set out without a care, without a destination, and no one to tell me what to do.  Would you travel with me Blossom, If I do get the courage to leave home? we could stay up late overnight looking at the stars and making up stories about the wind. but..  that may never come. My dads always say how important it is that we all pitch in around halfwall to ensure the community can make it through another year.  but I can hope I want to see you soon, please come visit. -your friend, May Our Guest this week is the Wonderful Bee from the DnD podcast Frostwalkers and co creator of the World of Wyldivir RPG! Left Foot Forward 19: The Journey to the Snoasis Pt 1

Detest Brother, I am sending you this letter, because at this point i’m sure the moths will be moving faster than I can. My flight path got clipped due to an unexpected dance of lightning along the calantine cliffs. I was forced to change corse and take shelter in the canyon. do not worry though, I am safe, just a few rustler feathers here and there. Luckily enough there was a moth tower at the edge of the ravine where I could write home. The many termite moth tenders here have done well to help this old sparrow to recuperate. My feathers are being swiftly tended to and should be in perfect flight condition in a few weeks. I still intend to make it home to virtue before the first threads of snow blanket rest on the roofs of town. I do not want to get caught in another storm like we did all those years ago. In fact I will be bringing gifts for the candlefeast (and don’t worry i’ve included surprises for you and your husband among those for the grandkids). I am perfecting my craft as I rest, hoping to truly capture the sounds of the world. although almost recuperated my extended stay at the tower is to study a most peculiar sound, I know not what it is yet, but I hope to capture the essence that meets me every sundown. From the top of the tower I look across the expanse of the Hæthland and swear that I can see the edge of the world. Right as the sun crosses the horizon, a rush of melodic whispers rest on my ears, a secret song just for me.  with love and swift flight, Robin Our Guest this week is the amazing Jeremy Cobb from the DnD podcast Three Black Halflings! Check out more of Jeremy's Work as well as the Three Black Halflings podcast here! https://linktr.ee/TBHalflings In this Episode We meet Egbon Yinyin a Lemming Pilgrim on a journey to the edge of the world, looking for a place to call home. After a Great Flood wiped out the Lemmings Egbon set out on a quest determined to find the ancestral Lemming home, the Snoasis. It has been a long journey since, filled with many experiences vastly different than what Egbon is used to in his Icy home. For the time being however, Meena is accompanying Egbon on his quest. Perhaps they will be able to find some rest after all. The Intro is adapted from the Wanderhome Text written by Jay Dragon and Published by Possum Creek games.
