Ep 19 - Near Death, Near Darkness, Near Grace - Mario Lara

Send us Fan Mail On this episode of the 3 Doves Podcast, Mario Latta shares his incredible journey from the violent streets of Guatemala City to discovering the grace and peace of Jesus Christ. Raised in extreme poverty, surrounded by gangs, prostitution, addiction, and abuse, Mario grew up carrying deep wounds from childhood trauma and rejection. After coming to the United States at 18, Mario pursued success in education and accounting, but behind the achievements was a growing spiritual emptiness. His search for meaning eventually pulled him into self-help philosophies, New Age spirituality, rituals, and psychedelic experiences with ayahuasca. What began as a search for enlightenment slowly led him deeper into darkness. But God was still pursuing him. Through supernatural moments, repeated encounters, and the unmistakable call of Jesus, Mario began a journey out of deception and into truth. In this powerful conversation, he opens up about fear, identity, spiritual warfare, forgiveness, and how the grace of God transformed his life. This episode is a reminder that no one is too far gone, no darkness is too deep, and God’s grace still reaches into the broken places of our lives. Ep 14 - A Simple Yes! Matt Crosson Shares the Stories

Send us Fan Mail In this Three Doves podcast episode, Matt Crosson shares his upbringing in Jacksonville, Florida, his early commitment to church, and a decisive moment at a Teen Mania conference that led him to follow Jesus and be rebaptized. He describes formative mentors who taught him prayer, silence before God, and worship, along with his growing love for music and his unexpected start as a youth pastor at 19. Matt recounts seasons of rejection while pursuing church ministry jobs, then finding renewed purpose through a decade with Ends of the Earth Cycling supporting global youth workers. He explains how that experience helped launch “Share the Stories,” where his family films and interviews ministries internationally to help them share their work, including trips to Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Ghana, where they witnessed extreme poverty and disability-focused ministry. The key here is saying YES to God.   Horseman's LandscapeWe are so thankful for Chris Horsemans and his continued support of our podcast.
