    In this episode, I share my personal reflections from attending the Charlie Kirk Memorial in person. I talk about the undeniable realities of what took place: the gospel was proclaimed with boldness and clarity to the whole world. There was strong theology in some moments—and some troubling theology in others. I also open up about my ongoing angst regarding worship music and how I experienced the worship at this event. Ultimately, I believe we are witnessing a genuine move of God—a real revival. And like the Jesus people revival of the early 70's, it’s probably going to be messy. Finally, I share a new policy regarding my future speaking events.     #328 The Holy Spirit Is Not Your Genie: Responding to Jenn Johnson’s Troubling Theology

    In this episode, I am joined by American Gospel director Brandon Kimber to analyze troubling comments made by Jenn Johnson of Bethel Church. Jenn Johnson has described the Holy Spirit as the “blue genie from Aladdin”—and this wasn’t just a one-time slip. We demonstrate how she has repeated this imagery more than once, while also promoting concerning views on the Bible and truth itself. Claiming that Scripture has contradictions, she has taught that truth is relative, like “shades of grey.” Even more troubling, her methodology for knowing God is subjective—teaching that Christians must each ask God who He is to them personally, as if His nature shifts from person to person rather than being revealed once for all in His Word. We also analyze the audio of Michael Brown asking Bill Johnson directly about these “blue genie” comments. What we find is not repentance, but damage control. And even today, the original videos of Jenn Johnson making these statements remain live on Bethel TV.     #324 A Tribute to my dad, Chuck Girard 1943-2025

    In this episode, I share a very personal tribute to my dad, Chuck Girard. From his teenage years as a session singer in Los Angeles, to his encounter with Jesus during the Jesus Revolution, to a lifetime of ministering through music, his story is not only a testament to how one man can impact the world, but also how the faith of a father can shape the lives of his children. But beyond the music and ministry, I also share some of the little things that made him him—the quirks, the humor, and the unique personality that only those close to him got to see. I also open up about his last days at home in hospice, and some of his final words.  This episode is both a celebration of my dad’s fascinating life and a glimpse into the man behind the music, whose trust in Jesus shaped everything he did until his very last breath.
