33 Tangents - Episode #149 - Embracing Learning from Mistakes and How That Can Propel Your Testing Program
It seems like there is a great deal of talk about the importance of learning from mistakes. The problem with that however is that most people are so fearful that they do everything they can to either avoid making mistakes or to hide them when they do happen. People do not feel encouraged to take calculated risks that will provide opportunities to learn?
Why is this the case? Why is there talk about it but fear when faced with it? How can this overall mindset within an organization impact the testing organization runs and the degree to which the testing tools are used?
On this week’s episode of 33 Tangents, Jim and Jason tackle the topic of making mistakes, why people are fearful to take risks, why most organizations are barely scratching the surface with their testing program.

33 Tangents - Episode #145 - The So-Called “Cookie-less” Future
It feels like we have another round of “all cookies are dying” conversations happening again. Companies are being pushed to adopt some sort of server side technology now or all data will be lost.
What is actually happening? What is the truth? Is it all fear, uncertainty, and doubt or is there some legitimacy to it? Do companies need to jump immediately or is there still time to see how things develop?
On this week’s episode of 33 Tangents, Jim and Jason discuss what they’re seeing, what they’ve seen before, and their recommendations for those that are feeling pushed one way or another.

FULL of good stuff from these analytics superstars
Love this show. It’s a bunch of folks passionate about the amazing area of analytics and managing it all. As the show states, they don’t always follow the show’s title topic. But these tangents end up giving you real-world stories and experiences of interacting with businesses, best practices and new ideas.
I work heavily in Adobe Experience Cloud and it’s so refreshing to hear people that share similar experiences. Plus, they have been there from the beginning and have a unique perspective from working there. You should listen no matter which analytics tools you use.
Digital Practitioners with great insights
If you are a digital (marketing) practitioner this is the podcast to listen to. You are getting insights from a group of individuals who share great practical knowledge based on their experience in an industry that is always changing.
Great Podcast by even better people
The team at 33 Sticks are an amazing group of people who just "get it". Jason and his team truly care and this podcast is just another one of the inovative things that they are doing to spread their message. Give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.
