    In Philippians 4:2–3, Paul addresses broken relationships in the church and calls believers to agree in the Lord. This sermon reminds us that division causes pain, suffering, and disunity, but Christ brings reconciliation and peace. Our unity is not found in preferences, personalities, or opinions, but in Jesus alone. As believers, we are called not only to pursue unity ourselves, but also to help others find reconciliation in Christ. A healthy church is made up of people who are united in the gospel and committed to building one another up. Are you helping bring unity to the church, or are you contributing to division?   Gospel response: Ask God to reveal whether you are helping protect the unity of His church or causing division.     In Philippians 4:1, Paul calls us to stand firm in the Lord. Not in success. Not in comfort. Not in fear. Not in the “algorithms” feeding our anxiety. What are you standing firm on—Christ’s truth or the world’s lies? The world can feel like quicksand—pulling us into comparison, pride, despair, and constant striving. But transformation begins with humility—letting go of “filthy scraps” and pursuing the true prize: Jesus.   When we stand firm in Him, we find: ✨ Peace in chaos ✨ Joy in suffering ✨ Gentleness over harshness ✨ Contentment instead of craving   The gospel moves us from guilt to gracious repentance—because Jesus lived for us, died for us, and rose again to free us.   Gospel Response: 👉 Identify the lies playing on repeat in your mind. 👉 Identify the lies playing on repeat in your mind. 👉 Notice how those lies have shaped your actions toward God and others. 👉 Turn to Jesus with honest repentance—because He lived the life we couldn’t, died the death we deserved, and rose again to free us.     Ep 259 - SERMON - Live Up: Where is your way of life headed—and who are you helping get there? Philippians 3:17-21

    Paul says our words, actions, and influences are always pulling people toward a destination. That’s why he tells the church to imitate faithful examples and to pay careful attention (know the goal) so we can recognize what’s moving us toward Christ—and what’s pulling us toward “dung” (the empty promises of the world). Where is your way of life headed—and who are you helping get there?   Paul contrasts two paths: 👉 Enemies of the cross: their end is destruction, their “god” is appetite, their glory is shame, and their minds are set on earthly things. The core issue: they’re placing saving power in something other than the cross. 👉 Citizens of heaven: they live as people who belong to another kingdom, waiting for Jesus and trusting His power to transform them—ultimately into resurrection glory.   So the big call is: watch who you imitate, watch who you’re becoming, and watch who you’re leading—because your trajectory shapes others too (kids, spouse, coworkers, friends, church family).   Gospel Response: You can’t save yourself by cleaning up your influences—but what Christ has done changes what we do.     Ep 258 - SERMON - Live Up: Do you think you’ve arrived… or are you letting God keep growing you? Philippians 3:15-16

    Paul challenges us with a simple but sobering question: Do you think you’ve arrived… or are you letting God keep growing you? Maturity isn’t pretending you’re sinless. Maturity is honesty that leads to repentance—not hiding.   📖 “Let all of us who are mature think this way…” (Phil. 3:15) In other words: don’t live on spiritual autopilot. Live up to the truth God has shown you. Keep in step with the Spirit.   Because the world’s “prizes” always disappoint: ✅ Success → anxiety & comparison ✅ Money → greed & fear ✅ Fame → insecurity & image-management ✅ Power → anger & control   But Christ promises something better: 🕊️ peace in chaos • contentment in all circumstances • joy even in suffering • authentic community   Gospel Response: You aren’t made right by what you’ve accomplished—but by what Jesus has accomplished for you. He lived perfectly, died for our sin, and rose again… so we can stop hiding and start walking in freedom.     Ep 257 - SERMON - Live Up: What are you running for—Christ’s prize, or the filthy scraps behind you? Philippians 3:12-14

    Run On Purpose 💪 Paul’s picture is simple: life isn’t a casual trail-run where you wander wherever you feel—it's a race with one path and one prize. Paul admits he’s not “there” yet, but he runs with everything he’s got because Christ has already taken hold of him. That changes how we run: not to earn the prize, but because the prize is promised and secured.   Paul contrasts two ways of living: Running aimlessly (no clear “why”) Running backward to “filthy scraps” (old sins, old status, old confidence in the flesh) Running forward toward the prize—righteousness in Christ and resurrection life with Christ And the key mindset shift is humility: the path to the prize goes through the cross, not around it. Suffering, setbacks, and refinement aren’t interruptions—they’re part of the race God is using to form us into Christ’s image.   When we pursue the right prize we will know the right path! What are you running for—Christ’s prize, or the filthy scraps behind you?   Gospel Response: Jesus didn’t just point to the prize—He ran the race for us: He lived the life we couldn’t live, died the death we deserved, and rose again in victory over sin and death. Because Christ has taken hold of you, you don’t run to prove yourself—you run in faith, repentance, and obedience with your eyes fixed forward.   So respond today by: 👉 Repenting of whatever you keep turning back to (the “dung/filthy scraps”). 👉 Trusting Christ alone for righteousness (not your performance). 👉 Pursuing Him with purpose—forget what’s behind, reach for what’s ahead.     Filthy Scraps vs. the Prize 🏆 This week in Philippians 3, we were challenged to put everything on the table and ask: Is this feeding my soul… or is it just “filthy scraps”? Stop satisfying your soul with filthy scraps—pursue the Prize: Jesus.   📖 “I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” - Philippians 3:8   Gospel Response: Repent of whatever you’re using to satisfy your soul, and trust Jesus as your greater treasure—so you can be found in Him, not in your own righteousness. The world offers “more”—more status, more noise, more cravings… but none of it can satisfy like Jesus. Real freedom starts when we’re found in Him, not chasing what was never meant to fill us. 👉 Ask God to reveal what needs to be laid down. 👉 Walk in humility. 👉 Don’t do it alone—confess, repent, and pursue Christ together.     You don’t clean yourself up to come to Jesus. You come to Jesus, and He makes you clean. In John 15:1–3, Jesus says He is the True Vine—real life is found by staying connected to Him. And because of His Word, believers can walk in the confidence of this promise: “You are already clean.”   Forgiveness isn’t earned. Freedom isn’t achieved.     Ep 254 - SERMON - Nehemiah: Am I trying to change through rules and resolutions, or am I seeking true heart transformation from Jesus? Nehemiah 13:1-31

    When resolutions fail, grace still stands. 🙌 Israel made strong commitments in Nehemiah 10—but by Nehemiah 13 they’re already breaking them. Nehemiah returns and finds worship neglected (temple compromised, Levites unsupported), Sabbath ignored, and compromise spreading through unhealthy alliances. He responds with firm leadership and new rules, but the core problem remains: external pressure can’t transform a heart. Nehemiah is a great leader, but he isn’t the Savior—this chapter is meant to point us to Jesus, the only One who can purify, forgive, and change us by the Holy Spirit.   Am I trying to change through rules and resolutions, or am I seeking true heart transformation from Jesus?   Gospel Response: Jesus did what we can’t do. He forgives and frees us, then gives us His Spirit to live differently. So don’t just add more rules—confess your sin, trust Christ, and depend on the Spirit for real change and a life that shines His light in a dark world.
