    37. When Women in Healthcare Thrive (Season 3 finale)

In this season 3 finale of The Collective Rx, I share a pivotal shift in focus for the podcast moving forward: centering the experiences of women working in healthcare. Over the past few years, I’ve noticed recurring patterns that add an extra layer of stress for women working in this field: perfectionism, people-pleasing, harsh self-criticism, invisible responsibilities, and the double shift of caregiving.  While not unique to women, these patterns are especially pervasive and deeply shape how we experience our work and our lives. In this episode, you’ll hear: Why I’m pivoting my podcast to focus on supporting women in healthcare The six patterns I see women carrying most often, and how they impact well-being A vision of what healthcare could look like if women showed up replenished, resourced, and supported How this shift is about more than individual resilience. It’s about transforming the culture of healthcare itself Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you’ve listened to every episode or you’re tuning in for the first time! I’ll be back after a short break with more conversations, more support, and more ways to reimagine what it means to thrive as women in healthcare. --- Resources & Next Steps Free Resource: [Calm in the Chaos Toolkit] – three simple resets to help you pause, breathe, and reconnect to yourself on even the busiest days. Program Enrollment: Replenish Rx, my online mind-body-heart resilience program for healthcare professionals, will reopen this fall/winter. 34. Becoming the Woman Who Honors Her Word to Herself

Many women in healthcare keep their word to everyone. To their patients, their team, their families… But often break the promises they make to themselves.  Promises like getting more rest, setting better boundaries, or making space for what really matters to them. This episode is about shifting from self-abandonment to self-trust. You’ll learn what it means to become someone who follows through on her word. Not out of pressure, but from a place of choosing herself and being in alignment with her values. Someone who sets standards for herself and rises to meet them, even when life feels full. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why women in healthcare struggle to follow through on their own needs How breaking your word to yourself chips away at self-trust The real impact of honoring small promises (including at work) A simple practice to rebuild integrity and follow-through, even on busy days Whether it’s saying no without guilt, taking real breaks, or showing up with presence at home and at work, honoring your word to yourself is the foundation of intentional living. **This episode is a replay of a Linkedin Live video that is part of a series on intentional living for healthcare professionals.** If you found it helpful, please share it with a colleague or leave a review. 33. Setting Boundaries Without Guilt: Protecting Time, Energy, and Presence

You know you need rest… but guilt always seems to get in the way. Whether it’s saying no to extra shifts, stepping away for lunch, or logging off when your work is “technically” done… boundaries can feel uncomfortable, even selfish.  Especially in healthcare, where your job is to care for others, not prioritize yourself… right? But what if guilt isn’t a sign you’re doing something wrong, but a sign you’re doing something new? In this episode, we explore what it actually means to set boundaries as a healthcare provider, and how doing so can help you protect your time, energy, and presence for the things that matter most. We’ll talk about what boundaries are (and what they’re not), why they’re so hard to set in high-pressure environments, and how to begin communicating them with more clarity and confidence - both at work and at home. Whether you’re trying to stop bringing work home, say no without overexplaining, or carve out time for your own well-being, this conversation offers both mindset shifts and real-life strategies you can begin using today. In this episode, you’ll learn: What healthy boundaries actually look like in a healthcare setting The most common myths and guilt patterns that keep high-achievers from setting them Why boundaries feel uncomfortable — and how to move through that Tangible examples and scripts to help you speak up with clarity One boundary to practice this week — and how to make it stick This episode is part of a series on intentional living for healthcare professionals.
