"Say No to Drugs" | Real Talk on Recreational Use, Discipline & Life Lessons

In this 4QTRS Podcast episode, the Fly Supply Clothing co-founders dive deep into a raw and unfiltered discussion on a highly controversial topic: recreational drug use. From personal experiences and hard-earned lessons to insights on discipline and self-awareness, this episode is a must-watch for anyone navigating the complexities of modern life. The conversation kicks off with the age-old question: "Is it good or bad?" The co-hosts offer their unique perspectives on the pros and cons of recreational substance use, including some of the surprising side effects of today's potent weed strains and hybrids, which have left some of them battling feelings of depression. 💭 What's the right age to experiment? The co-hosts suggest waiting until at least 21 years old, emphasizing the importance of mental and emotional development. When you're still figuring out who you are, substances can become an inhibitor rather than an enhancer. While they keep things lighthearted, the conversation turns serious as they reflect on why they've stayed far away from hard drugs, highlighting how dangerous and overly normalized they've become in today's culture. They break down why it's critical to: Know what you can and can't handle. Purchase from quality retailers if you choose to indulge. 👨‍👩‍👧 Fatherhood Perspectives As fathers, the co-hosts share their hopes that their children avoid drugs altogether. They speak openly about the unpredictability of how substances might affect someone's life. For some, what starts as fun can quickly turn into a destructive habit, holding them back from achieving their full potential. The Most Addictive Drug of All? 💰 Money. Interestingly, the co-hosts agree that money is the most addictive drug they've ever encountered. The conversation shifts toward finding balance and staying in your lane. Discipline is the key, whether it's with substances, social media, food, sugar, or even ambition. Anything can become addictive if left unchecked.     If you enjoyed this episode, don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to the 4QTRS Podcast for more authentic conversations and insights from the Fly Supply Clothing co-founders.   👉 Follow us on social media for updates and behind-the-scenes content:  📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/flysupplyco/ 🌐 Website: https://fsc.academy 👕: https://flysupplyclothing.com 🚀 Stay Fly. Learning to control your emotions and achieve your goals

Either you control your emotions or your emotions control you. And with the latter, the consequences could be life altering. Don't allow your emotions to make you lose a good situation.    Acting out of emotion can cause you to lose out on opportunities, get you in situations you can't easily get out of, and so much more. Oftentimes not being in control of your emotions can be seen as a sign of weakness. Finding ways to better communicate your emotions can save you from a lot of lost opportunities and even save certain relationships. Going to therapy to learn healthy ways to release the emotions you may have bottled up inside of you can be incredibly helpful. Talking to a therapist allows you to release your emotions to someone who isn't biased and forces you to peel back all of the layers you pile onto your issues. And know that just like dating, the first one you find might not be the one – keep going until you find the one that works best for you.  QUOTABLES:  "Think before you react to situations that bring out negative emotions."   "People let their emotions allow them to lose a good situation."   "Make sure the pros always outweigh the cons."   "Give yourself 15mins to be still and exercise gratitude before you react." How technology can help us or enslave us

Technology has advanced far beyond anyone's expectations in these recent years. AI has made it possible for many technologies to run without humans. For the younger generation, technology has made it more difficult for kids to socialize with each other compared to older generations. Technology has also made it difficult to have a private life because a lot of times your phone is listening to everything you say. From ads popping up that reflect our conversations to content creator videos highlighting recent personal discussions it can be understandable to wonder, "does privacy really exist?" Depending on your mindset, technology can have a negative or positive impact on your life.    QUOTABLES:  "We control technology, but technology controls us too."   "Technology has made the world smaller."   "Technology is eliminating jobs while also fattening the pockets of corporate executives."   "Things are different now. We didn't come home until the lights came on." PRODUCTS / RESOURCES: For more info, visit their website: www.4qtrspodcast.com   Like what you're hearing? Owning who you are in spite of your environment

Don't be afraid to show your intelligence. A lot of people dumb themselves down to avoid getting a certain amount of attention or to avoid being misunderstood. But this habit may not always be a good one. It's important to know how to operate when you're in different situations, but you should never dumb yourself down to be accepted. Some people are able to adjust better in different environments than others, but you shouldn't be afraid to be seen or heard if your input can be valuable. Surround yourself with people who have visions for their life instead of dumbing yourself down for people who don't dream or have visions beyond where they are.  QUOTABLES:  "Don't ever be afraid to show your vocabulary and show that you know something."    "Don't be afraid to fail."   "It's hard to dream with people who don't dream or have visions."   "You have to be blessed with what you have." How to stop overthinking and face your fears

A lot of people avoid facing their fears. Overthinking situations is one of the reasons most people have fears and talk themselves out of doing what they desire. Going into something with confidence and owning the room is one way to not be controlled by fear. Fear eventually turns into regret and regret turns into frustration. Way too many people are dealing with fear of failure, but it is inevitable. If you don't learn how to accept failure, you'll never learn how to succeed. A failure doesn't define who you are as a person. You won't know if something is for you if you don't try. You have to know how to create the right environment to accomplish what you desire and that includes facing your fears and embracing potential failure.  QUOTABLES:  "A lot of people run from their fears."   "People are eager to hear what you have to say."   "You have to fail to succeed."   "Are you scared to be great?" Using the power of music to manage your energy

Music has a huge impact on your energy. Sometimes it may be difficult to process the energy being released from certain songs because it's so intense. Rap and Hiphop music are two of the most popular genres of music , and they both carry a lot of energy — sometimes heavy and sometimes energizing. However, from what we've seen, the black community suffers more because of the lyrics and vibration in our music. All music is different and can be used for different purposes. When you're not in a good mood certain music can be used to uplift your soul and the reverse can be true as well. Music carries vibrations and it affects your frequency. Pay attention to what you experience when you're listening to certain music and make the decision as to whether or not it's what's best for you.  QUOTABLES:  "Music is my time machine."   "Energy is carried in music."   "Your frequency can be raised based on the type of music you listen to."   "What you listen to heavily influences you."
