    On this episode, LaKisha interviews Pastor Jon McLane, the founder of Veteran Rescue Mission. He tells the story about how he became involved in fighting for the struggling veterans of our city, focused on getting them housed and supported. Pastor Jon has found interesting ways to fund this mission and has worked at building bridges with others who share a similar passion rather than walls. He has recently connected with and joined the 4Tucsonfamily.     Supporting Educators in our City

    In this podcast, Lakisha introduces us to Karen Hills, who is a career educator experienced with multiple levels and positions. Recently retired, she joined 4Tucson as the Educational Liaison Volunteer after working with the Educational Taskforce for the past two years.  Karen describes her experience with feeling burnout and frustration as a teacher, "I felt like I was in a cage, but the door was never locked." She informs us on best practices that can support teachers/educators, including Teach 4 the Heart, educator support groups, and congregational prayer over the educators in our church communities.
