Jordan, a few years back I heard you ask a guest, “how can I grow China Talk?” That day I didn’t think you would last as a podcaster. Today, the quality of people you are able to come on the show is amazing. Your ability to drop leading questions and the shut up is remarkable. Congratulations, I look forward to each of your podcasts. 2nd breakfast is genius.

The range of topic is indeed wild. The last episode “Dissent from Moscow to Beijing” was really good.

After sticking with this for nearly a year, I am now a “former“ listener/reader. I find that the quality varies enormously, and that the topic selection lacks coherence. Perhaps most disturbing of all is that when I try to listen in order to be able to do other things simultaneously, I am assaulted by a host who sounds like a high school sophomore trying to frame a thought or a sentence with as many “…..like” phrases as possible. It makes my head hurt. None of my adult children speak that way because we mercilessly rooted out such sloppy speech when they were young; consequently, they were able to pursue careers with both promise and sophistication: State Department , PH.D., English professor and Wall Street investment manager.

Wide ranging for sure, some topics don’t seem immediately related to China-focused policy but very knowledgeable.
