    Uganda Performing Right Society(UPRS) has explained why artistes have not yet received their money and also emphasizes that non members will not receive anything even with hit songs noting that registration is totally free. While appearing on the Urban Vibes show on 97.7 Record FM show hosted by Jiame Josh, Ms. Nakintu Maureen  appreciated UCC for making the UPRS certificate mandatory for any media house to renew or acquire a broadcasting license, so all media houses will pay their royalties which she says was a major  hinderance as many of them have been non-compliant resulting into a minimal collection.
