Inception of the mind with Coach Michael

We had to do it! We brought the energy and the correct mind state because we definitely needed it. We've pondered the idea of living in the movie Inception but what if we actually already live it. Here I had the chance to see what the Coach Michael thought about the most recent idea brought to me through the book 'Think Like a Monk' and that is "I am not what I think I am, I am not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am".

I have had many situations where I join a business and start climbing the ladder for more opportunity and I come to a problem. We have found that keeping the same relationships with coworkers as you become their superior can be difficult. We had the opportunity to talk with the Coach Caleeb on his experience with this problem and how he handles this issue.

Become genuinely interested other people

It is so easy to just sit and talk about ourself and our experiences. But showing interest in people can strengthen the relationship between anyone that you meet. Just like you like talking about yourself. Others enjoy the same thing. So the ability to listen and ask question, not for the sake of asking them to have them talk but to really want to know the answers, to actually want to know more about who or what someone is, is key to having a bond much stronger than acquaintances.

Baiting the hook to suit the fish

The last time we went over the previous section of the book where we discussed the craving of importance, the want to be appreciated, the feeling of the we are contributing. In this next section we go over situations of where salesmen would go and only focus on what he wanted, and that is to make the sale. Rather than to focus on what good salesmen do which is to focus on what do the consumers want. People want to feel like they are buying something, as opposed to being sold something.

Last time we spoke about the consequences of what criticism can do to people and how it effects those around us. This time we look on the opposite side of it. We journey into the feeling of importance, feeling of acceptance and appreciation.

I could say I wanted to dive deep into the mind of why we criticize, how to criticize someone, and what it does to us but honestly I was just reading and wanting to apply some simple reads to my life again. Hope it helps you all as much as it has helps me. This is Book 1, Chapter 1.
