    Dylan Thomas's "Do not go gentle into that good night"

    In this episode, we go back in time to see the poetry through the eyes of Dylan Thomas. We discuss a little bit about his work including "Do not go gentle into that good night", "O Make Me a Mask", "Twenty-Four Years" & "Clown In The Moon" and the context behind it.

    Dylan Thomas was born on October 27, 1914, in South Wales, was the archetypal Romantic poet of the popular American imagination. Dylan's works include the poems "Do not go gentle into that good night" and "And death shall have no dominion"; the "play for voices" Under Milk Wood; and stories and radio broadcasts such as A Child's Christmas in Wales and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog.

    Kanan Parmar's "10,000 Ways of Hyena's Greed"

    In this episode, the guest of the show is Kanan Parmar, reading her poems "10,000 Ways of Hyena's Greed", "Treason of Dreamland" and “While Living the Life”. The episode showcases the conversation of Kanan with A Poet’s Work host Ashwamegh about how she uses the power of poetry.

    Kanan is a young poet based out of Kadi, Gujarat. She has co-authored two books - "World of Women" and "The Act of Perseverance" which includes her selected poetries. She is also working as a co-compiler of an upcoming book. You'll find the link to the books below. She lives with a dream of opening an art gallery to help emerging artists to showcase their Crafts & Creations. Her poems convey the message "Love yourself, Love everything you have been given"

    In this special episode, we celebrate India's 75th Independence Day. We have our host Ashwamegh reading poems "Khooni Hastakshar", "हो गई है पीर पर्वत सी पिघलनी चाहिए" and "চিত্ত যেথা ভয়শূন্য". In between the poems, Ashwamegh explains the significance of India's Independence day and the sacrifices that have led to India's freedom, and how we should ignite our souls to keep the country alive.

    Aashika Suresh's "In the City of Storytellers"

    In episode #4, we have poet Aashika Suresh with us on our podcast, reading her poems "In the city of storytellers", "Day 153", and "Lessons from the future". In between the poems, host Ashwamegh chats with Aashika about her writing journey and how she uses the power of poetry in her life.

    Aashika Suresh was born in Chennai, India and now She lives with her mum, and indie pup, Ingee. She is a writer, a dreamer and a sunlight seeker. Her selected poems have appeared in numerous online journals and anthologies. Her work was shortlisted for the Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize in the year 2019. She writes about all the things that move her, both literally and figuratively.

    Gitika Gidwani's "Memories"

    In this episode, the guest of the show is Gitika Gidwani, reading her poems “Memories”, "Lockdown 2020" and “Udaan”. The episode showcases the conversation of Gitika with A Poet’s Work host Ashwamegh about how she uses the power of poetry.

    Gitika is a young poet. She was born in the land of spices - India. Growing up here , she realised her love for writing her thoughts in the form of poetic verses and this love has led her to create the first edition of her poetry book 'IMAGINE'. She is a budding writer, a co-author in three anthologies and a compiler in one. She is an aviation enthusiast- for her the sky is home . She has always believed in one theory - Someone who loves flying does not fear falling down. Caution : Her laugh is contagious.

    Himadri is a poet based out of Gurgaon, originally from Assam. She has co-authored the book called “Emotions Inked”. She loves cooking and she keeps experimenting with new recipes. When she is not writing, you would find her with a few brushes and a canvas.
