A Simpler Time True Crime

Every story is well researched and the narrator (Megan) handles each case with respect. No sensationalizing, no banter, no trying to be funny, or get cheap clicks. She is caring and compassionate

Megan cares about these victims and she tells each story beautifully. I love to listen at night because her voice is very soothing as well.

As both the victim of a violent crime and the family member of a murder victim, there aren’t many podcasts I can listen to, but the tact and emotionally intelligent way the subject matter is discussed here not only makes it palatable but hearing others’ stories also helps fend off some of the isolation of being in this brutal “club”, since these aren’t exactly topics you bring up socially. It’s an excellent pod with a gem of a host.

This host is respectful, conversational (which I like a lot), and picks cases that haven't already been covered a million times. Editing is good too. And man, the Mitchell Owens case? I typically do not care for interviews because frankly not everyone is a good interview. And not every host is a good interviewer. However, the host of this show is a very good interviewer and Ora Farmer is not only a really good interview, she seems like such a wonderful, caring, kind person. Carrying so very much heartbreak. Soul crushing. My response to that episode was visceral. I ache for this woman. God bless her soul and may she get resolution.
