"Dental Lounge" (قعدة أسنانجية) is a podcast that looks at dentistry from a different angle — not clinical advice, but honest conversations about a dentist's life, work, and the real decisions that come with the profession in both Egypt and the US. Hosted by Dr. Joseph Shenouda, a dentist who graduated in Egypt, completed the US dental equivalency process, and joined the Advanced Standing program at UCLA before practicing in American clinics for several years. He later returned to Egypt and practiced there too — giving him a rare, firsthand view of both systems, not from the outside, but from having worked inside each. Each episode takes listeners through the real differences between the two countries: the systems, the insurance, the patient relationships, and the decisions every dentist faces alone behind the chair. No sugarcoating, no grand statements — just an honest story, told by someone who lived it.
