Abscast 041 | Heliosphere

Heliosphere crafts a hypnotic interpretation of techno rooted in repetition, tension and long form rhythmic movement. Releases from the artist have appeared on respected imprints including Molecular, Soma Records, Planet Rhythm, Trau-ma, Evil Groove and Observant, reflecting a sound firmly embedded within the contemporary techno landscape. In the studio the approach is guided by precision and restraint. Pulsing low end, mechanical grooves and shifting atmospheric textures are arranged with patience, allowing subtle variations to drive momentum. This focus on function and controlled intensity carries directly into the DJ booth, where carefully constructed sets unfold through progression and disciplined mixing. The result has led Heliosphere to perform across a range of prominent festivals and underground venues; translating the same hypnotic language from record to dancefloor. Contributing to the growth of the local techno ecosystem has remained an important part. Through Pulse, a series of nights held in Mumbai, Heliosphere has worked to cultivate a space dedicated to the more uncompromising edges of the genre, inviting some of the most respected artists in techno while helping strengthen the city's underground community.
