    006 Make it Happen: Ruth Weldon

    This series focuses on passionate and talented producers within the disability arts space. Ruth Weldon (she/her) is a highly skilled and experienced arts administrator and producer, living and working on Kaurna Country. Ruth works at Carclew as Manager, Early Careers program, and has almost 20 years' experience in the arts, working primarily on festivals and in youth arts. She is studying part-time doing an MFA (Cultural Leadership) at NIDA and is a freelance audio describer working with Access2Arts. From her beginnings travelling the world working on festivals, she has had a range of experiences across ticketing, administration, marketing, programming, and producing. Her area of expertise is youth arts, working extensively with early career artists and producers. Ruth is immensely passionate about making arts accessible for all and helping to foster the next generation of arts workers and makers.     005 Make it Happen: Rhen Soggee

    This series focuses on passionate and talented producers within the disability arts space. In this episode, South Australian disabled music producer Tyson Hopprich (a.k.a DJ TR!P) speaks with producer Rhen Soggee. Rhen is a white migrant currently living and working on unceded Kaunra Yerta. They are a non-binary, neurodiverse arts manager interested in contemporary, multicultural, inter/multi-disciplinary and participatory arts. They are currently Senior Manager, Arts Programs at Carclew, an Arts Wellbeing Collective's Lived Experience Advisory Group member, Chair of Post Office Projects Board, Board member of Vitalstatistix, and completing both their AICD accreditation and MFA in Cultural Leadership at NIDA.     004 Make it Happen: Matt Shilcock

    This series focuses on disabled creators and their work in the arts. Matt Shilcock is a South Australian contemporary dance theatre artist with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. After spending much of his youth in a wheelchair, he learned to walk at fifteen and now practices dance, fitness, and martial arts. He has performed professionally since 2009, working with companies across Australia and internationally. This podcast was funded by Arts South Australia and produced by Access2Arts.

    003 Make it Happen: Libby Trainor Parker

    One of our latest Access2Arts projects, the ‘Making **it Happen’ Producer Podcasts, has seen us interviewing some fantastic South Australian disability arts producers about their experiences to gain a better understanding of what the industry currently looks like. In this episode, South Australian disabled music producer Tyson Hopprich (a.k.a DJ TR!P) speaks with producer Libby Trainor Parker. Libby is many things to many people: writer, performer, speaker, teacher, parent, partner, business owner, and health advocate. Diagnosed later in life with endometriosis and adenomyosis after a lifetime of mystery, Libby now dedicates her life to advocating for people with illness so they can be diagnosed, treated, and live a full life. Author of the book Endo Days (Wakefield Press), Libby has been instrumental and successful in lobbying for funds for endometriosis learning programs and raising awareness for the condition.
