Are you wanting to be more manly? Then Ad and Vice will help you achieve maximum masculinity in their podcast. Mila and Isabel created these characters out of an improvisation exercise exploring podcasts and modern media where anyone can get online setting themselves up as influencers, giving advice on how to live your life better without any real expertise. Although a comic piece poking fun at online media, it draws attention to toxic masculinity and the nonsense some "experts" share. In 2025 ACT NOW embarked on learning how to make radio plays, from writing the scripts to recording and edit dialogue, and designing the sound effects.

Series 2.Ep 3 A Face Like Mine

A Face Like Mine is a Thriller styled as True Crime, exploring how two brothers, identical twins, separated at a young age in an orphanage grow up to be very different people but with the same face... and with a face like mine you can get away with murder! Libby and Rosa wrote this unsettling audio drama as part of the ACT NOW radio play project. Jess and Mia wrote this as part of the radio play, Mia had been studying The Hunger Games at school and Jess has a passion for writing dystopian fantasy, these influences meddled to create this audio drama. This week we showcase Taylor Green's radio play version of the Little Red Riding Hood story with an introduction by Taylor herself. Taylor directed a group of youth actors as the cast and also learnt editing skills - for a first go at scriptwriting a radio play and editing Taylor is rightly proud of herself. Next week we have Roscoe Gorse's adaptation of Spiderman coming up, so do remember to listen in.
