The history of manufacturing jobs being lost and plants being closed. A big issue now, and a big issue in the 70's and 80's. At that time, when workers wanted to resist their jobs going away, the only place to turn was to themselves, local clergy and politicians, and a group activists that had previously fought civil rights battles and protested wars. We get into the Youngstown plant closings, and the "Industrial Selma" concept to try to save a steel plant. And we visit a typical Rust Belt town. We also take a brief look at the Panic of 1873.
