    Based on the 1963 short story "Eight O'Clock in the Morning" by Ray Nelson. Carpenter was first introduced to the story via the comic adaptation titled Nada by Bill Wray (and Ray Nelson). Peter and Brian discuss all three throughout the course of the episode, focusing mainly on Carpenter's 1988 film adaptation.
