As a late diagnosed AUDHD 50 year old, the most recent show about RSD changed my life. I was going through the most intense RSD I have ever had in my life. I was on day 3 when I listened to the conversation with Dr. Dodson. Just about everything he talked about was things I was currently experiencing - from being a people pleaser so that the only way I know to be happy is to make sure everyone else is happy, to being a perfectionist so that I am “above “reproach”. His advice that “yesterday’s audience is not today’s audience” will be a mantra I will use in dealing with that portion of my masking. But the most important thing from the episode was the explanation of RSD which perfectly explained my feelings and state of mind following the rejection. Once I understood what was going on, I decided I am done with the people pleasing and perfectionism roles. I was then able to identify and insist on doing something that would make me happy without concern for whether it would make everyone around me happy. I did it, I felt wonderful, and I am hoping it will become part of my rebuilt personal now that I know that I am AuDHD. Thank you so much for this. Your time and effort in making this podcast and having this conversation mean so much to me.

Highly recommend for anyone with adhd, especially but not exclusively those diagnosed later in life. Also a lot of attention on how women are affected by adhd differently than men. i so appreciate this podcast, it has been enlightening in the best way possible.

He’s a dum-dum. I am audhd and I can smell inexperience from a mile away. This Khurram guy is a fount of “positive thinking” and “don’t worry, you’re great!!” uselessness. Alex may have ADHD, but he also has a desire to make $$$, which includes putting ineptitudes on his show. Unfollowing.

I really like the podcast but I don’t like the episode titles that claim to “FIX ADHD IN 24 HOURS” or have “ADHD HACKS”… they feel very much like clickbait and feel disrespectful to those of us with Adhd. I understand hacks are important but give us more credit that we can and will click on an episode to learn more from experts without the claim that it will fix us.
