Rosary: Joyous Mysteries, 1st Decade - The Annunciation

Seasons by the WellThe Joyful Mysteries — The First Decade: The Annunciation Welcome to Seasons by the Well. In this season, we are walking through the Holy Rosary, one decade at a time, reflecting on the Scripture and invitation contained within each mystery. This season is especially dedicated to my grand-nephew, AJ, who is six years old and currently in the hospital. AJ had asked me to help him practice learning to pray the Rosary, so this season is for him—and for everyone who finds themselves needing a little extra faith, hope, and courage. Today, we begin with the First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation. We reflect on the moment when the Angel Gabriel came to Mary and announced that she would become the mother of Jesus. Mary didn't have all the answers. She couldn't see what the future would hold. But she trusted God and gave Him her YES: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” As we pray this decade, we ask Mary to teach us to trust God even when we don't understand His plan. Luke 1:26–38 The Annunciation reminds us that God's invitations don't always come with complete explanations. Sometimes, like Mary, we are simply asked to trust. Today we especially pray for AJ. May Our Blessed Mother stay close to him, hold him beneath her mantle, and bring his needs directly to the heart of Jesus. We also pray for every child, parent, grandparent, family member, and caregiver who is walking through a difficult season. Mary, Mother of Jesus, stay close to AJ. In this episode, we pray: The Sign of the Cross A simplified Apostles' Creed The Our Father Three Hail Marys for Faith, Hope, and Charity The first decade of the Joyful Mysteries The Glory Be The Fatima Prayer The Hail, Holy Queen Prayers for AJ and all those in need Where is God asking me to say “yes” today—even if I don't yet understand? Mary's yes was not based on having every detail figured out. It was based on trust. Perhaps today, our prayer can simply be: “Lord, I don't understand everything, but I trust You. May it be done to me according to Your word.” ***************** Thank you for praying with me on Seasons by the Well. May you remain close to Jesus, held beneath Mary's mantle, and always remember that there is a well of grace waiting for you. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 E44: Holy Tuesday Introduction: As we enter Holy Week, let us reflect on our daily choices, to love Jesus or to betray Him. Scripture Reading: John 13:21 Meditation: Take a moment to find a quiet space, free from distractions. Close your eyes and center yourself in God's presence. Let us meditate on Jesus’ difficult journey and the moments when we betray Jesus. Reflection Prompts: Think of your daily decisions. Do you always choose the right path?
