    WordPress dramas

    Want to get my take on the latest WordPress dramas? I think the problems with Automattic and other companies like WP Engine just won't end well. Regardless of who's right or wrong, this is going to hurt the trust surrounding WordPress that has been built up over the past 2 decades. When plugins are taken over, this is where I feel people will abandon WordPress as a platform featuring their work could be taken away from them at any moment.

    If you want to launch an affiliate focused podcast, you have all the good reasons to do it. But what are the excuses you want to avoid and the things that get in the way of you starting your podcast. This solocast and episode is inspired by a recent Gary Vaynerchuk podcast featuring Mike Posner where Mike said he felt he needed the professional production to get his off the ground. Hold up! No you don't, look at Gary Vee, he's proof you don't need production as that is exactly how he got started. His first YouTube videos were raw and the opposite of production. Record yourself, you got copies of your life on Instagram, TikTok, so why not record your professional work life? Maybe your podcast is a hobby that you want to just do and make some affiliate revenue off of it. Fabulous! Get started, don't use any excuse to not get started.     Affiliate Summit East 2023 recap from New York City AIS 28

    I'm back from ASE 2023, that is Affiliate Summit East in New York City. This is my 2nd Affiliate Summit and this event surpassed all my expectations. There are some talented people passing through here and it was 2 days of rich conversations about the future of affiliate marketing. The hot topic both in terms of panels as well as in person discussions was AI. It is here and everyone believes this is a new revolution we are just entering into.

    Affiliate marketing, major industry. If affiliate marketing is worth so many billions, why is one of the most important jobs being filled with people that have almost no qualifications? I'm talking about affiliate managers and affiliate management! Affiliate manager is definitely a respectable and needed career in the affiliate marketing industry. However there is a problem setting the industry back which is affiliate managers that lack training. There is a new wave of affiliate managers hitting the floor at the next conference you'll likely be attending.
