Sweet Home Alabama
I love the episodes. This is the best US state. So happy to hear your podcast. Can you cover more episodes about Butler County. Thanks.
What a missed opportunity…
I read the description and was really excited to think this podcast might actually be a platform for moderate thinking, one where the topics facing ALL Alabamians could be discussed with some sliver of political open-mindedness… you know, the kind of conversation that brings folks together, reminds us that despite our differences we’re ALL God’s children, and plants the seeds of understanding and mindfulness of others who may not share your politics … Well, this ain’t that! It became immediately clear that the hosts view only fellow Evangelical Christian Conservative Republicans as “we”, while everyone else is just “them”. (That’s not hyperbole, everything is framed as “we” vs. “them”.) So if you’re already in the choir, stick around because the sermon is about to start… but if (like myself) you’re tired of “us” vs “them” and was hoping “real talk” meant meaningful discussions of how we can address the problems which are universal to ALL Alabamians, this ain’t that..
Excellent Podcast
Scott, Amie, and Allison actually talk about the real issues confronting the Republican Party in the scope of Alabama politics. I find this podcast not only informative but deeply engaging and thought-provoking. This is arguably the best output the 1819 network offers. Definitely subscribe.
