Around the Bird Bath: Episode 10 - Conference USA Tournament Preview

After two amazing consecutive regular seasons, UTSA once again finds itself on the cusp of a regional bid. The Roadrunners have very little cushion in terms of RPI, so a strong showing in the conference tournament is an absolute must lest the Roadrunners be left at home in yet another year.

Dan, Jared, and Adrian recap the Roadrunners' 2023 regular season before hopping into a preview of the conference tournament where UTSA seems to have had a favorable draw in terms of bracket seeding.

In anticipation of the conference tournament we've launched a one-week sale of all Los Correcaminos items on our store! Use coupon code "CUSARUN" for 15% off any Los Correcaminos item throughout the conference tournament.

Thanks for listening to our first season of Around the Bird Bath! While this is our final series preview podcast (at least for conference play!) we still have plenty more content on the way. In this episode we spend a bit of time talking about UTSA Top 25 ranking and what it means/does not mean for the Roadrunners' postseason chances. We also preview the upcoming homestand against Dallas Baptists which stands as by far the most important home series in the history of the Bird Bath! Lastly we wrap things up by looking ahead to next week's series against Louisiana Tech.

Around the Bird Bath: Taking UTSA Baseball NIL to the next level

Around the Bird Bath: Taking UTSA Baseball NIL to the next level

UTSA Baseball has taken the next step on the field. It's time for the UTSA community and administration to do the same. Key investments are necessary in both facilities and NIL to ensure the program can not just maintain its current success, but exceed it.

In this episode Dan brings back two previous guests to share how the UTSA community is organizing to address the NIL piece of the puzzle. First up, Eddie Benningfield, the Executive Director of the Runners Rising Project, joins to give us an update on the collectives progress and plans for working with baseball athletes.

Following Eddie's appearance, Ray Redding joins to make an exciting announcement about NIL support for UTSA's baseball program, as well as issue a call for support to UTSA Baseball alumni and the community at large.

An introduction to UTSA Tennis with Keegan McCain

An introduction to UTSA Tennis with Keegan McCain

Our journey to provide coverage for each and every UTSA athletics program reached a big milestone today as we hosted our first-ever tennis podcast! Of course we needed a guest to guide us through this new world for us and UTSA Women's Tennis co-captain Keegan McCain was kind enough to come on the podcast to teach us all about collegiate tennis. Keegan is a senior at UTSA and will be staying on campus after graduation to pursue an MBA. In addition to her work on the court, Keegan also represents UTSA athletes on various committees and boards, as well as serving as the president of a local charity. If you know nothing about tennis don't be intimidated -- this interview was recorded with tennis newcomers in mind.

The #1 UTSA football podcast

Jared and Adrian boast incredible chemistry while tackling all that’s UTSA football, including game-by-game breakdowns, in-depth statistics, and news from around campus. It’s absolutely a must-listen for any college football fan, especially those ‘Runners.

I gotta tell you guys, I’m not a UTSA grad or former student but I am a day one fan!!! As a matter of fact when I lived in Dallas back in 2005 (I’m from SA), I wrote a letter to the previous AD to please look into a feasibility study for football at UTSA. I’ll be damned if not long after that letter they announced they would be seeking a firm for said study. This was something I felt would have been cool back when I was in HS (1985) to have a high level college football program in SA. When I think about all of the talent that would possibly have stayed is astounding. Anyway, thanks fellas. I’m a huge fan and would love to see interviews with former players!!! Go Runners!!!
