    #79: Professional Runner Mike Wardian

This episode’s guest was Mike Wardian, who has set a variety of running records and fastest known times. Also, he was strongly complimented on the All Bodies Outside episode with Jonathan Ladson (episode #77). Mike is a big inspiration of mine and during this episode we learned about how Mike approaches goals, maintains long-term motivation, maintains life balance, the power of mindset, and the enchantment of setting goals that are disconcerting.

#78: Faces of Health with Dr. Blied

This episode’s guest was Dr. Blied who is a clinical psychologist, neuroscience practitioner, and the creator of the ‘Faces of Health’ app. The app was founded on the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for mental healthcare. Therefore, the Faces of Health app features a robust selection of easy-to-learn strategies to improve longevity and quality of life. The app offers a variety of tools for stress management and mental health skills training along with neuroscience information so that individuals can learn about their brain and biology and WHY the skills work. As part of my preparations for this recording, I downloaded the Faces of Health app and I was amazed at all it had to offer to benefit my wellness. Everyone should make wellness a part of their everyday routine and a great way to ensure this, with consistency, is to use the Faces of Health app. For more information about the app go to: www.facesofhealth.net

#77: The Power of Mindset with Jonathan Ladson

This episode’s guest was Jonathan Ladson who used to hate running but recently ran the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for the 91-mile Capital Beltway route
in Washington D.C. Surprisingly, that was his second longest run of all time. I really enjoyed having an engaging conversation with Jonathan. He's a very inspiring person. Also, during this episode Jonathan gives a shout out to Georgia Miller (featured on episode #60) who is a mental performance coach and to Mike Wardian (who will be featured on an upcoming episode). Jonathan and I talked a lot about the power of mindset and how everyone can control that. Jonathan - thanks for being on All Bodies Outside!

Wonderful Podcast!

I admit that I’m not a big podcast listener, but this show made me a believer!

My first listen was Episode #29. It combined so many things that spoke to me as a female solo camper and hiker, a lover of being outdoors, and someone utterly smitten with Scotland, its people and its amazing land. I found myself binging other episodes today, getting lost in the myriad ways in which I am privileged to be comfortable in nature because I was brought up in a household that spent time outdoors.

And it made me continue to think about ways that I, a white professor at an urban College, can continue to encourage my students to opt outside and explore.
