    Two Gestalt therapists talk about the science of trauma, Gestalt conceptualization of trauma, and applications for treatment. This episode features guest host Kristen R Myers, PsyD, DrPH, MA. Kristen R Myers, PsyD, DrPH, MA, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, GATLA-certified gestalt psychotherapist. She works as a clinic Site Director, Co-director of the Seattle GATLA training program and owns a private practice. She completed doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology (with a specialization in Health Psychology) and in Public Health (with a specialization in Preventive Care) at Loma Linda University. Kristen has trained in and practiced Gestalt Therapy since 2005 and joined the faculty in 2016. She is passionate about self-acceptance, connection, interdependence and agency. She approaches her professional life and personal life with values for inherent growth and wholeness-orientation of all living beings. Also core for her are the importance of non-pathologizing, anti-oppression and the importance of the impact of one’s developmental and current environment on well-being and health. She works with individuals, couples, families and groups.     Three Gestalt therapists discuss Group Process. This episode features guests Helen Kennedy BA (Hons.) and Svetlana Vasilyeva, MD, MC, RCC.   Helen Kennedy, BA (Hons.) has been in private practice in Edinburgh, Scotland since 1985. She is a founding partner of Teamwork Edinburgh Gestalt Institute where she works as a trainer, supervisor, consultant and psychotherapist. Helen is qualified as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer with GPTI (UK). She has a particular interest in creating community to enhance creative, spiritual and psychological growth.  Helen is a Certified Gestalt Therapist and is Trainer faculty at GATLA Summer Residential program.    Svetlana Vasilyeva, MD, MC, RCC  is in private practice in Vancouver, Canada working with individuals and couples. She also co-teaches Gestalt therapy course at Vancouver College of Counsellor Training. Svetlana is trained in Gestalt therapy with GATLA since 2009. Certified as Gestalt therapist in 2015. Her professional interests are in Gestalt group leadership, psychosomatics and psychopathology from Gestalt therapy perspective. She is a passionate skier, hiker and city-biker. Practicing Tai Chi since 2009.     Three Gestalt therapists discuss the theoretical concept of Field Theory and its applications to clinical practice.  This episode features guests David Narang, PhD and Sheri Rose-McCashin, LMFT. David Narang, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice on the west-side of Los Angeles.  He works with adults and teens with depression and anxiety and he works with couples.  Dr. Narang is trained in multiple psychotherapies, but his theoretical home is with Gestalt, and he has been with GATLA since 2001.
