    In this episode, Eric FitzMedrud, PhD, discusses important issues facing many men along with his new book, The Better Man.  
     
     Eric FitzMedrud is a therapist specializing in relationship and sexual issues in the San Francisco Bay Area. His specialties include helping couples navigate conflict, heal from infidelity, recover passion, and exploring open relationships. He is particularly skilled at helping men improve their sex lives by learning to regulate their emotions, remove sexual entitlement, and hone their sexualconsent and negotiation skills. FitzMedrud is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. He has been published in academic books, an academic journal, has spoken at multiple professional conferences, and been cited in Vice, Newsweek, and The Washington Post. He has also trained therapists and taught many graduate courses inpsychology including Human Sexuality, Critical Thinking, and Clinical Skills. He has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. He is polyamorous and bisexual, and lives with his wife of twenty-three years and his life partner of six years in San Francisco’s East Bay area, California.

    In this episode, we hear from Natalie Graves who has a private practice specializing in athletes’ mental health & performance and is the author of an athlete workbook entitled The Athlete’s Prepbook.
    She received her master’s degree from the University of Chicago Schoolof Social Service Administration and her bachelor’s degree from Chicago StateUniversity. She was a visiting student at the University of Maryland where shestudied abroad in London, England in the Sport, Commerce, and Culture in theGlobal Marketplace Program. Natalie completed an Addictions Studies Program atCity Colleges of Chicago Kennedy-King College. She also completed 30 classroomhours in compulsive gambling disorders.
    Natalie is also the founder and president of the 1 in 4 PROJECT. This organization is comprised of mental health professionals focused on bringing awareness of mental health and wellness to the sport community. Natalie is a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Natalie speaks nationally andinternationally on topics relating to mental health and sports. Natalie has published magazine articles on mindfulness and runners.She has been a guest on several local news sediments, radio and podcastsdiscussing various issues within sports. She was also featured in HBO’sdocumentary Student Athlete. Natalie Graves is a certified school social worker,licensed clinical social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor.

    In this episode, we continue our series within a series as we hear from parenting expert Riley Cochran. 
    Riley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in the State of Colorado. He is a Colorado native, outdoor enthusiast, and die hard Colorado sports fan. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Denver's Counseling Psychology Program. He is also a NAADAC Addiction Counseling National Minority Fellowship Training Program Fellow.
    He has a devoted passion for helping disengaged youth and families struggling with the many different facets of mental health and substance use. Riley has over 10 years of diverse experience working with Youth and Families in a variety of different treatment settings. He has provided therapeutic services helping clients heal from a variety of mental health and substance use challenges and specializes in working with disengaged youth struggling with anger outbursts, attachment challenges, trauma, defiant behaviors, and disruptive and aggressive behaviors. He has worked at the highest levels of care in a number of different inpatient residential facilities, as well as a variety of outpatient treatment settings bringing an individualized approach and thorough understanding of what people need to heal in different stages of their recovery process. Riley practices with a focus on attachment, trauma, and interpersonal dynamics using a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Narrative Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in his work with teens and young adults.
