Positive thinking is not b******t, it is scientifically proven that you can rewire your brain and involve out of old mindsets. You could simply be seeking to create a calm, clear mind with this meditation or trying to navigate one of lives many s****y challenges. My affirmations and flow encourage you to stay grounded, embrace your words, and foster a healthy balanced mindset.     S2E11 Lets talk about Sex, Baby! Part 2

    AH the first part was so juicy and full of knowledge, including things I’ve never heard of before! In the second part of my conversation with researcher Melissa Blundell Osorio, we take a closer look at her groundbreaking research on cam sites and male body comfort, shedding light on how these factors shape our understanding of sexuality. We also touch on sexual education and societal taboos, and Melissa shares expert advice on how to engage in sexual health discussions.  We also talk about resources if or when you are ready to learn more about yourself, you partner(s) and sex as a whole.  And we just plain reveal our own experiences and thoughts as Latinas and women in current culture.   This episode continues with an exploration of the importance of collaboration between museums and academic institutions and how they’re driving conversations about diversity in sexuality and identities.     Oh, an in-depth conversation with a researcher from the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction you say?  YEAH WE HAVE THAT HERE.   In this first part of my conversation with Melissa Blundell Osorio, a researcher at the prestigious Kinsey Institute, we dive into her fascinating journey that led her to work with the renowned Sex Museum in Miami and eventually pursue a PhD at the Kinsey Institute. We explore the vital role of sex museums in educating the public and breaking down the stigma surrounding sexuality.     S2E9 Baddass Women in Herstory Vol.3

    every time I think “ maybe people are getting sick of these type types of  episodes,” I pause for a minute before I start going in on the next round of detailed research – and then almost immediately I am given this beautiful sensation. “Why haven’t I heard of these women?”  What the f**k lol honestly though.  Did you know that there have been analysis of textbook/history books and across many countries the male characters/references out number female ones by more than two to one. In one study of over 1200 English language textbooks, there were over 178,000 male coded words versus 82,000 female coded words MEANING about 68% of gendered content is about men or boys and only 32% is about women or girls. Seeing  ourselves matters, seeing our gender represented matters. Seeing our gender identity, represented matters, seeing our sexual orientation matters.  When girls don’t see themselves  in history, research shows extremely negative outcomes; lower self-esteem and self image, limitations on identity and aspirations, mental health issues, and internalization of stereotypes.  Let’s pass it on to them.
