We will also discuss how to transform and the impact change has on people, communities and business. In time we hope to share knowledge and experiences about change and the art of transformation.

    Episode 8: Gun Control Australian Style - The path towards a desired state.

    The path towards successful gun control in is the focus of this episode. While in some countries mass murders are becoming a regular, accepted occurrence, in Australia, mass murder through gun violence has been rare since 1996. The country did more than offer thoughts and prayers. Australian leaders had the courage lead transformation, build community support and took decisive action. This podcast briefly outlines actions taken against key themes that resulted in successful gun control and a safer society across Australia. That is something of national pride and a positive change I admire.

    In this episode, we look at the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, and its impact on African-Americans. This impact remains significant and generational. Some say factors that triggered the collapse of LehmanBrothers and started the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) were complex. Maybe the catalyst was not really that complex but was in plain sight and ignored. Have we learned from the damage caused by predatory lending? Are we sill ignoring the signs? We will also take a strategic look at the causes of the Global Financial Crisis and briefly discuss the steps to help minimise risks to communities and families.

    Industrial Revolutions the impact and influence on Black Americans The Industrial revolutions seen major advances in agriculture, transportation, communications, manufacturing, and electricity fueling economic growth. Black people’s contributions to the Industrial Revolutions are often not considered or largely muted. This podcast sheds light on some of the Black American innovators that contributed to the Industrial Revolutions and briefly discusses the impact the Industrial Revolutions had on Black communities.

    A Snapshot of Industry 4.0 In this episode Industry transformation through the lens of Industry 4.0. is presented Industry 4.0 builds on the previous Industrial Revolutions and can be characterized by a fusion of the physical world, biological environment and digital technologies.  Industry 4.0 has the power to disrupt almost every industry, in every country. The disruptions will also include the transformation of production systems, management, and governance. Like previous Industrial Revolutions, the Fourth Industrial Revolution will influence wealth and the quality of life...sometimes for the better...sometimes not.

    Episode 3: Industry 3.0, Emergence of electronics

    This episode focuses on industry transformation through the lens of the Third Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 3.0. The focus of Industry 3.0 - The emergence and the power of electronics. Industry 3.0 led to automation that resulted in reduced effort to create products and materials, increased the speed of processes, allowed for greater accuracy and in some cases replacement of humans in some jobs. Change and transformation kicked into a higher gear in Industry 3.0.

    Episode 2: Transformation and Industry 2.0

    The Second Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 2.0, was a period of rapid industrialization commencing in the late 19th century and ending at the dawn of World War I - around 1914. During Second Industrial Revolution advances in technology made it easier and quicker to produce more goods that were able to be sold at a lower cost. Industry 2.0 seen significant advances in agriculture, manufacturing and transportation that started in Britain, and made its way through Europe and North America, and then quickly to the rest of the world.

    Before the 1800’s food, building houses and weapon production were done by manual labour or with the help of animals.  At the beginning of 18th-century the way things were done changed as steam operated machines were invented. This transformed the production of goods and the concept of community. Steam power also transformed business.
