America needs to learn our history if we are to avoid repeating our failures. We owe the people who join us in our missions overseas to protect them and, if appropriate, offer them sanctuary in the United States.

All the more important for Americans to hear today, as our Afghan allies continue to arrive as SIVs are approved one by one.

A very in-depth and personal review of our flawed policies and procedures, convoluted bureaucracy and general inability to honor the commitments we make during conflict. As a former soldier who relied on such allies in Iraq I am disappointed in the reality that politrics play so heavily on the supposed common sense decisions that should be made. Great podcast.
