Why this entrepreneur wishes he had started blogging in high school -- An interview with Spencer Burleigh, Cofounder, Rent the Backyard

AlligatorZone®,  where students meet startups to learn about the future of work, presents a special edition of this podcast series, with a focus on blogging as a leadership tool and skill. Spencer Burleigh, Co-founder of Rent the Backyard, in his recent podcast interview by AlligatorZone, had mentioned that he wished he had started blogging when in high school. We decided to create a special podcast about that specific point because we thought it was important for school students to understand his views on this matter. Mr. Burleigh spent precious time on a Saturday morning sharing some very valuable advice, and we appreciate it very much. Listen to the entire podcast as it is a free-wheeling conversation between a CEO and teens on the how and why of blogging. This interview covers, among other things, a discussion on how to get into a routine to write a blog post, the challenge of choosing a topic, precautions in choice of topics, the choice of platform, and about keeping in mind Internet safety for student bloggers.  This podcast series was launched as part of a leadership coaching  program in  AlligatorZone  Academy's summer workshop series.
