Codependency, Herbal Healing, + the Gut-Lung Connection with Organic Olivia
In today’s episode, BFFs Krista + Olivia Amitrano, aka Organic Olivia, dive into the intricate web of codependency. Together, they unpack the reasons why we seek external validation and inspire us on a journey towards awareness and breaking the cycle.
Ahead, Olivia opens up about her childhood and the experiences that led her down the addictive path of codependency. She explains how this pattern can affect our health, likening the Chinese Medicine concept of 'dampness' to our emotional and spiritual challenges with codependency.
Krista + Olivia remind us that true independence and self-regulation come from within, and the real work is finding peace and a stable sense of self without relying on others. If you’re struggling to break free from codependency, you’re not alone, and healing is possible.
We also talk about:
The impact of selective childhood attention
The 'devouring mother' dynamic
Balancing the gut-lung microbiome
Enmeshment within family dynamics
Spirituality + cultivating afterlife connections
Setting boundaries + self-awareness
Prayer, gratitude, + intuition

Relatable, Magical, Kismet
I happened to find the Almost 30 Podcast when my daughter was a newborn, during the lockdown, as a single mom with little support. Krista and Lindsey became my podcast BFFs when I felt alone and my entire being had shifted into this new person (a mom). Almost 3 years later I’m still a huge fan and love grabbing a matcha and going on a walk with two of my favorite podcast humans in my headphones.
The episodes are completely relatable and I learn a ton. This show is a pivotal aspect of my manifestation process as Krista and Lindsey and their guests are amazing expanders!
So grateful and couldn’t recommend this podcast more!
Love it! And so not 30 lol
I am a 43 year old woman and love how these two wonderful women are able to pour into my cup and feed my soul. I love their topics, you definitely don’t have to be in your 30s to benefit and learn so much to enrich your life.
Feels like every episode is an advertisement
I used to love this podcast, and sometimes still do, it’s helped me a lot with my self development and I’ve learned about a lot of new topics wouldn’t have otherwise. Some of the guests are so inspiring and I do like listening to Krista and Lindsay’s journeys.
BUT it feels like every episode is filled with sneaky consumerism. Not even the ads, which I understand to fund the show. It’s more than every guest launched newest life changing supplement or is selling an expensive course. I find it hard to trust K + L’s recommendations when it seems unrealistic that they actually take and love all these supplements. I often feel a lot of pressure to buy things after listening to the podcast, especially if I’m not feeling great and want to feel better. It makes me question the authenticity of the advice and why they bring who they do on the show. Especially with it being a spiritual podcast, I come here learn and improve myself, not to fall into influencer culture and overconsumption.
I also wish they vetted their guests more, for example, I did a quick search of Dr. Taz after listening to her episode and she has some really awful reviews from her patients, it’s just concerning because that was so easy to find on Google.
